Looking for Jewish Style Deli in Seattle / Tacoma Thanks, everyone. We're in Victoria - so the salmon comments are perfectly in line. Saves us driving around for no reason. I love this site and all the members who tell the truth! |

Looking for a great spot for dinner next Sunday and Monday in Tacoma. Staying at the Hotel Murano. Breakfast and lunch recommendations also sought! We're in town to do the Museum of Glass and Art Museum. |

A great eatery returns with new owners - Brentwood Bay My husband took me to Carden Street Cafe West for our first date a year ago - a memorable atmosphere and meal, although the chairs were tacky garden variety considering the price of the meal. New owners Chris and Diane Richardson closed early summer to do a bit of remodel and have re-opened in the same location, Corner of Stelly's Cross Road and West Sannich Road, serving dinner Thursday to Sunday. The chairs are now lovely comfortable dining chairs, there are fewer tables and less plants. The food, however, remains exquisite. I had a gorgeous piece of halibut; my husband had the tenderloin. Both were done to perfection, with beautiful crisp vegetables that tasted as if they had just been picked. The mango sorbet desert was a perfect compliment to the evening. We know we'll go back - but know that you're in for a pricey evening. |

Reasonably priced dinner in Montrose area (or on Honolulu Meeting a couple of friends next week and want a place to eat that won't break the bank but where we can hear each other talk. I've got mixed feelings about Zeke's and know there are some new places. Recommendations? |

Pizza with Attitude in Burbank Have now had two opportunities to take out a NY style pizza with just a touch of attitude from Cheech's New York Deli/PIzza Joint at 3801 Burbank Blvd. The pizza is made to order when you call or stop in - try the plain cheese which comes spiced with s sprinkling of hot peppers directly on the dough. A great value at under $8 - served with panache by Cheech himself, in his jaunty NY chapeau. Well worth the trip - or stop en route to Burbank airport for a good dinner prior to boarding! Just west of Holllywood Way on Burbank Blvd. |

Any Recommendations of Afternoon/High Teas? Tried "The T Room" in Montrose a couple of weeks ago. Nice selection of teas, but service was less than stellar. Sandwiches are fairly ordinary. Had to ask for milk with the tea. Not going to rush back. Also tried "Sweet Chari-tea" in Burbank. Went in alone, was seated and that was it. Left after 10 minutes of absolutely no one coming by (although I had been seated and given a menu). Won't be back. |

Restaurant Recommendations near Sepulveda & Ventura You were all on target about Simon's. Food was tasty - best hummos outside of Israel I've ever had. Service was a tad slow, but the sizzling plates made up for that. Went back two weeks later to try another dish - just as good, just as hot. Simon came out to chat. A definate find. Thanks so much! |

Any suggestions for something other than the chains on San Vicente? |
