Driving back through France
Try this one in Ville Morgon:
http://www.hotel-levillon.com/en/
We have stayed here and it is a good hotel and the meal was excellent - good value.
Also there was a very good restaurant a few yards away in the village that we used but I can't remember the name - it's a small village though so you will find it!!
Have a search on the Sawdays site for some other options - they are usually very reliable.
Most of my other suggestions would be in Northern Burgundy so you may not want to travel that far in the day if you are only leaving at lunchtime.
Hope you are succesfull

Becky you should be able to get farther than Lyon so these are within reach and we have used them all and would certainly be glad to return to any of them.
This restaurant was recommended and booked for us by the last B & B on this list. Excellent food with local produce.
http://www.hostellerie-st-vincent.com/hotel_nuits_saint_georges/en/restaurant.htm
We have used this one many times just south of Beaune. Lovely couple and the husband is a very accomplished cook of his regional produce. If you eat here it is probably best to book a room as well as it is fairly rural although close to the autoroute.

More upmarket with fabulous food using local ingredients but lots of spices as well:
May be more than what you are looking for but keep it in mind for a future visit for at least a couple of days.

These are 2 excellent B & B's north of Beaune:
http://www.sawdays.co.uk/search/display.php?PlaceID=PL62915
Really good restaurant 100 yards away from here - Les Gourmets.
Owner here will give you a wine tasting in his cellar as well - very well kept property in a small village.
http://www.sawdays.co.uk/search/display.php?PlaceID=PL63120
This is the one who recommended the restaurant - quiet village setting and you will have to drive to or from a restaurant here. Owners are wine producers in Nuits St Georges.
All the above are not that far from the autoroute.
Hope these are useful.

paris restaurant recommendations
l'Ile St. Louis on Rue Saint Louis en L'isle has boulangeries, patisseries, and fromageries in abundance - everything you need a short stroll away. Also there are a couple of Butchers on that street as well.
You are sure to find a restaurant that suits you on that street also.
Try Cafe Med for an excellent meal well within budget.
Also just next to that one a good Italian Sens'o.
You have restaurants such Mon Viell Amis, Le Tastevin, l'Ilot Vache all on that street and many others. And it's a short walk home!
Have a great trip - you are bound to in that area of Paris.

We usually stop in Reims when passing on the autoroute and generally use this one for lunch:
http://www.la-lorraine.com/
Good honest brasserie food with quick friendly service.
More options including Boulangerie on this street.
I know you say you don't want to go into a city but Reims is easy. Just follow the Cathedral Exit from the autoroute and park on street leading up to Cathedral entrance.
Depending on how far south your stopover is maybe go a bit farther than Dijon.
This one in Beaune is excellent using local fresh produce.
Le P'Tit Paradis
25, Rue Paradis
21200 Beaune, France
+33 3 80 24 91 00
Not a lot of tables though - it is in the centre near the wine museum.
Again Beaune is easy to park in - just drop your car around the town walls.
More rural is this one just a little farther south:
http://www.auberge-cheval-blanc.net/
Husband and wife team who provide great local food in a small village. We stay here often as an overnight stop or sometimes for a day or two. Excellent place.

Thanks for the acknowledgement and I hope you have a great trip - keep some good weather for us in a couple of weeks !
3 weeks on Saint Louis en L'isle sounds wonderful and gives you plenty of time to try some of the excellent food options around there - i'm sure you will establish a favourite or two that you will return to in that length of stay.

Which Vaucluse restaurant to choose...?
For atmosphere, location and special regional cooking we really enjoyed Auberge de la Loube at Buoux.
http://www.theluberon.com/restaurants.htm#loube
Chef specialises in a Hors d'oeuvres platter as a main - 16 of them as in my picture.
Really stunning meal in very very quiet rural setting. Owner/Chef takes great pride in his restaurant.
Can back up also Le Fournil in Bonnieux.
http://www.theluberon.com/restaurants.htm#fournil
Great setting around a fountain with excellent service and very high standard of food.
Also really enjoyed Auberge du Presbytere.
Lovely village stting around a fountain that they take your table water from - worth a picture.
All these are particularly suited for an outdoor table and have a great terrace ambiance.
They are not Michellin starred venues but will give you really excellent food in very relaxed settings. You will not be rushed!
Hope this helps you enjoy your evening - we have just come back.

fix price lunch nearby notre dame ??
For the inexpensive parts of a Paris trip our favourite for lunch especially is Cafe Med on St Louis en L'lsle. Menus around 11,14,18 euros. We usually pay around 18 or 19
euros for 3 courses with wine & coffee.
Not many tables so be early! Good atmosphere and friendly service with food cooked to order so quite leisurely.

All will need a reservation in the evening.
Hope this helps you enjoy your last evening - we have just come back.

3 nights in Beaune - good value recs?
P'tit Paradis at 25 rue Paradis near the entrance to the wine museum serves excellent food.
Only a few tables so you need to book.
Friendly service and good atmosphere.
Also turning many people away when we were there two weeks ago.
First Trip to Paris - Cheap Eats?
Yes thanks for that.
We have looked in a couple of times and it does seem like one of those places you do have to try.
Tried to go once when we went as a family - but ended up at Hard Rock Cafe due to popular request.
Children do make you try all the gourmet places!
Fortunately the choices are now all our own.

Yes it is on Rue Saint Louis en L'isle.
Near the end of the street at the Isle de la Cite end a few doors down from Bertillon Ice cream on the corner.
A group of us had a very reasonable lunch next door to Cafe Med at an italian restaurant - Sens'o.
It must have been OK as we were there so long the waiter went home!
The beauty of this island is that it has a local community also so you have at least 2 boulangeries, food & wine shops, cheese shops, butchers etc.. so another really enjoyable way of having lunch here is to buy from them and sit in the parks behind Notre Dame.
Really lovely on a warm pleasant day.
It also has a L'occitane and an Oliviers that always cost me as my wife CANNOT walk past those.
Of course you also have more expensive options to try and a search of this board should give you more pointers.
Just on Rue St Louis alone you have probably at least 6 or 7 quality options.
We have generally stayed in and around the 7th and eaten there for dinner.
Next time in early July we are staying close to the Islands and are looking forward to trying some of these that we have only looked at and wanted to go to such as Mon Vieil Amis and Le Tastevin.
Hope this helps

great restaurant in Provence hotel?
It is on the same street as L'Isle Sonnante.
To me it is just off the square as I was referring to the short distance involved rather than a precise location. I did say Rue Racine.
great restaurant in Provence hotel?
The prices seem to be constant here lunch or dinner. They don't have many lunch specials but offer a very attractive reasonably priced carte. It has a family connection with the gourmet HIELY LUCULLUS restaurant in Avignon and is managed by a female member of that family.
It is a restaurant that I tend to "pigeonhole" into a lunch venue as we enjoy it for that and then relax with a stroll afterwards. I would certainly consider it for dinner if I was staying in Avignon itself.
The other restaurants I would think of more for a special occation or a splurge and if I was doing that I would want an evening table - perhaps next year for our 30th!
We will be eating at La Fourchette in a week or so - if you want I can certainly let you know more about the lunch/dinner menu cost.
Lunch reservations at La Fourchette we have found to be essential.
Christian Etienne looks the part if you are wanting a special dining experience and is right next to the Popes Palace so has a wonderful setting. Check out their menues and location:
http://www.christian-etienne.fr/an/maison/maison.htm
I am sure someone can give you a food review!
Hope this helps and makes sense!

great restaurant in Provence hotel?
Consider La Fourchette on Rue Racine for lunch.
Just off the Popes Palace square and handy for a stroll up to the park area to the side and above the Palace.
The extra cost of the three you suggest may make a evening dinner reservation more suitable.
La Fourchette has a very high standard of cooking and make a great value and memorable lunch stop.
Reims lunch-?
We usually stop in Reims on our way back north and generally use this one for lunch:

Suggestions for Loire Valley near Blois/Tours
Would also back up recommendation of La Roseraie
This near Amboise has wonderful food and service - also good lunch stop.
