Mickeys Pizza - Mississauga

Did you find that the crust was bready? I really wanted to like this place - they use fresh high quality toppings, the lady who owns it really cares about her product but I couldn't get the pizza crust cooked so it would crisp up. They cook their pizza on trays so the bottom never really crisps up. I would order well done, tried to minimize toppings so their wasn't a lot of moisture on the pizza, ask them to take it off the tray earlier but I could never get a crisp crust - it was too focaccia like.

I have to take a client out for a nice lunch but can't seem to find anything in the area.

The closest nicest restaurants (but still about 15 minutes away) that I know of are Saucy or Aioli.

Is there anything closer to Derry/Hurontario? Is there anything better about the same distance away?

Thai Food - West End that Caters

I am looking for a Thai place to do an office function for 25 people in the west end.

The suggestions I got internally are Lemongrass and Thai Chef. Lemongrass doesn't look too good but Thai Chef looks good.

Anyone try Thai Chef or suggest a better place that delivers.

Jamaican Food Catered

I have to organize a catered in lunch for my office in Etobicoke for 20-25 people

I was hoping to find someplace that at least does jerk chicken, rice and peas, plantain and maybe oxtail and a vegetarian option if possible.

I was thinking of calling RAPs or even just calling Lykn Chicken

Cucci is very good. If they are open past 10pm it is the best place in Oakville for Italian. Ritorno (owned by the same owners as Julia's) is also pretty good - less formal and more traditional - but I don't think they are open past 10pm

The dim sum place in the Mississauga Chinese Centre (Dundas just east of Cawthra), I think it is called Sun Sun, had an AYCE dim sum last time I was there about a month ago. They used to have discounted dim sum after 2pm during the week.

I'm actually in Toronto. But I bet somebody from Denver on the Canada-US Olympic Hockey final, that if Canada won he would have to send me a picture of himself in Canada olympic gear eating Canadian bacon (or back bacon as it is known here), do-nuts, and drinking Molsons.

Apparently, Molsons and donuts are not too difficult to find in Denver but he was having difficulty finding back bacon

Real BBQ in Etobicoke

Someone from my office went today on my recommendation.

When he got there at 12:30, they told him that they were behind schedule and they had no pulled pork, brisket etc. They told him it would be about 15-20 minutes. He waited half an hour and they told him that it would still be another half an hour. He went down the street to Espresso Bakery for veal.

I guess I will have to wait another time to try their pulled pork

Paletta Mansion on Lakeshore in Burlington is a very nice venue. They sit 85 for dinner or 130+ for cocktail reception.
