The reason why it works, is because of the ethylen gas produced by tomatoes. If you want to hasten the ripening process, put the green tomatoes with some allready ripe ones, or with apples, another big producer of ethylen gas.
Avocadoes can be ripened like this too - actually any fruit that can ripen after it's been picked can be treated like this!

Me too - almost addicted actually... We just call it Lion tea in our house :-D
But other good ones from celestial seasonings is their spicy rooibos tea, and their honeybush tea (with a giraffe on the package...).

All three are caffeine free infusions....

I agree - mixing it with lots of lemon or lime juice - to a quite loose consistency, and then chucking in a large handfull of dill - perfect for a pasta salade made with cheese filled tortellonis/raviollis and seafood like shrimp og crayfishtails and veggies...
