Lunch counter and Coffee Shop foods

Nice topic & one dear to my heart. As a kid - loved wolworth's lunch counter - patty melt! Unfortunately, seems this country is loosing its lunch counters, diners, coffee shops and being overrun with starbucks & subways. Sad really.

Can I bake a ham that isn't smothered in sugar and fruit?

That sounds wonderful - any chance on getting more info?

Scent: Oven dinners. Question for you: What has the all time best cooking aroma in your house?

Peanut Butter -- how do you eat it (and on what kinds of different foods)?

Once a week treat, usually Friday - spread thin on a pumpernickle bagel - usually un-toasted.

Salmon

Thank you both for your excellent advice. I have a feeling I've been eating farm for quite a while. I'm excited to get some good wild today. Appreciate your help

Salmon

I want to make Broiled Salmon for dinner this evening. I know most Atlantic Salmon is farmed and most Pacific is wild. Is there a clear taste difference?
I am willing to pay a bit extra - which do you prefer?
Thanks - Have a great weekend!

Bacholrette

The cuisine is open and I guess around 100 per person with drinks?

Bacholrette

Morning All - I'm helping my wife plan our good friend's bacholorette party. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. We're not looking for the usual suspects. Looking for a moderately priced, good food (nothing too adventurous), good for a group of 15-20 ladies in their early to mid 30's. Neighborhood is unimportant. Afterwards, a cool wine bar / lounge is the intended target.

Thanks!

London Broil

So, I had a beautiful London Broil from Stew Leonards - I seasoned it with Penzy's Chicago seasoning and put it on a hot oiled grill. 4 minutes per side. Let it rest 1-15 minutes.
My problem was it was a bit tough.
The only thing I can think of is that I should brought the meat to room temp before grilling?
Any ideas?
