Do you add salt to boiled water for pasta?

The main reason anyone would add oil to pasta water is the reduce the surface tension and reduce the chance of the water from foaming and boiling over. As the oil is lighter than the water - it really can't prevent the pasta from sticking if the pasta stays submerged. As ravioli eventually floats - it is possible any oil may prevent sticking - but the points on the sauce not sticking are also valid.

Good recipes using chicken breasts

2 of my favorite things to do with chicken breasts is 1) French Country Chicken - a good chicken stew served over mashed potatoes - see Rachael Ray's recipe and 2) Chicken parmesean - flattened breasts breaded with 1/2 bread crumbs and 1/2 good quality shredded parmasean cheese (I like the real stuff - parmigiano reggiano - also at Costco) and gently sauteed in a combination of butter and olive oil.

Good luck.

Camargue Red Rice: Any Opinions?

I really liked it. It had the nuttiness of a brown rice without the dryness. However, I find it quite expensive. $5 for 10 oz [$8/lb). I would like to find a better resource for it.
