Thanks for the information. Do you know the name? |
I thought an Italian restaurant was supposed to go in there. |
Has anyone gone into the Alison's 2 site? |
I probably overstated. 3rd and Catherine looks like a lunchonette but always clean, though not particularly an atmosphere restaurant. |

I had the sof shells at Demitri's last night. The entree was 3 niced sized crabs with sides of escarole and rice for $24. The place is a dump but has great sea food. |

I went to Earth bread and brewery last Friday, and had a great Pesto pizza and very good house brewed beer. Across the street I notice a small restaurant called Black Olive, that I was unaware existed. Does anyone have information? |

Cochon can get noisey on weekends, but seems to be better during the week. Any small BYOB may have a noise issue but I have had some very good meals there. |
Cochon is a good choice |

How was Cuba? I had dinner there when they first opened and was not impressed. |

Has anyone been to the new restaurant in Chestnut Hill, Soul. It opened a few days ago where Citrus was. I miss Citrus, it was one of the few good places in this area. |
Has anyone been to Root the new BYO on Spring Garden. The menu looks interesting, and I wonder what their performance is like. |

recommendations from chowhounds I plan my trips around great restaurants. I would appreciate any suggestions of can't miss places from fellow hounds. Thanks |

Having a birthday - Solaris Grille? You are referring to Cake. Great space dining in an ex-greenhouse. They are open for lunch and Sunday brunch. They serve dinner on Thursdays. I was there for brunch and had very good omlett. It is worth trying. |

Philly is known for BYOB's. Sola is a small BYOB about a 10 minute drive up Lancaster Ave. Great food, just check to see if they are open for lunch. |

I will be in West Palm this weekend. I am looking suggestions for interesting dining locations. I will eat everything and enjoy interesting and unusual. The rest of the family are "plain eaters". Any help will be appreciated. Thanks |

Pizza in NW Philly, Glenside, Wyncote, Jenkintown . . . Roman Delight on Old York Road in Abington has very good thin crust pizza. I always thougth it was better than Rizzo's in any incarnation. I also like Couch Tomato in Manayunk. |
Has anyone been to Sonam? It looks like an interesting place. |
A new restaurant opened on South St. I think the name is Sonam. Does anyone have any information. |

thanks |

My mother used to make a rice pudding baked in the oven with cinnimon and raisins. It was slightly sweet and was firm in texture. On a recent rainy day I started thinking about it. Does anyone have a recipe? |
Anyone have info on Cochon the French bisto on Passyunk ave? |

I bought some recently at Genuardi's |

Interactive BYOB Map of Philly Have you tried www.dininginfo.com. It offers very recent information and lots of links. |

What's up with the ads covering the board index? I have the same problem. |

I love Citrus. I know they have been trying to sell, so I call after reading your query. According to the tape they were closed for a death in the family and will reopen on Oct 2nd. |
Thanks for the information. I love french bistro cooking and miss Pif. I was talking to some foodie friends and they told me Pif has reopened. They must have been referring to the Sunday dinners. |
I understand that Pif has reopened. Does anyone have any information? |

Good Pizza in Chestnut Hill/ Mt Airy/ Germantown Area I'm a fan of Couch Tomato in Manayunk. Very thin crispy crust, flavorful tomato sauce, and good cheese. Parking is a pain but worth the effort. |

Dessert for traditional Rosh Hashanna dinner Thanks for the information. Have a sweet year. |
Dessert for traditional Rosh Hashanna dinner I am having traditional dinner, gefilta fish, matzoh ball soup, and brisket. I would like some ideas for dessert other than the traditional dry honey cake. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated. |
