How to soften butter to room temp when your house is kept cool?
Clean Chowhound, dirty butter. Never takeany food into a room containing a toilet. Every time trhere's a flush, particles are ejected into the air and onto surfaces. You can't see or feel them, but it really happens. Ick.

That's pretty standard these days. I have two, one smaller and older than the other, and they both have many different settings, as different rices and grains cook differently. The big one even has a risotto setting, which I haven't tried because I don't believe it.
A rice cooker is also good for cooking quinoa or oatmeal, too.
Tatume/Tatuma = Mexican zukes
They are firmer when cooked, and sweeter. They are great diced, sauteed with onion, then scrambled in eggs. A high fiber, low calorie very filling breakfast, with a side of refried beans and a dollop of salsa.
missing ingredient
I assume the incomplete ingredient in today's recipe Tomato Sherry Vinaigretter) is not grapseeds, but grapeseed OIL. Perhaps you could correct it for those who might think they must go through 20 pounds of grapes, picking out seeds.
