Balthazar pastries in Brooklyn?

Does anyone know of any places in Brooklyn (specifically Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Downtown Brooklyn, or Brooklyn Heights) that carry Balthazar pastries? Specifically the almond croissant or the oat-currant scone. I'm addicted. Thanks.

London - Monterey Jack cheese?

My American friends and I are dying for a good homemade Mexican meal. I've looked at Whole Foods, Sainsburys, M&S, and Waitrose for Monterey Jack cheese. Has anyone had any luck?

Good burgers in London.

I had a great burger at a place called Fox and Hound or Dog and Fox (the pubs all start to sound the same!) in Wimbledon Village. Heavily seasoned to liven it up, but still fresh and tasty all the same. I've heard good things about Byron's on Kensington High Street near Holland Park. Anyone tried it?

UK pizza chains - best of the bunch?

Have you tried Rosso Pomodoro? It got the seal of approval from my Italian (as in, from Italy...not Italian American!) friend. Had it over the weekend in Covent Garden and was really pleased.

Bear Naked / Other Granola in London

I recently moved from New York as well and am having the same problem. They love cereals here, so branch out! Look at the labels though - they love preservatives and such as well. Good luck!
