network cafe - food is excellent (but order only if Jose is in the kitchen), interesting background music, the place attracts a lot of young couples in the dining part as well as the downstairs lounge, the bar itself is heavy on locals and it tends to fill up after 8:30 especially on fri/sat. mixed crowd but no mixologists. reasonably priced plus happy hour

i think dirty pier closed down, last time i walked past it 3 weeks ago it had a "thank you for your patronage" sign hanging in the window.
