ISO Springerle molds

I've been using/collecting Springerle molds for years, but have never found any in Toronto. I order mine online from Springerle Joy: http://www.springerlejoy.com/

It's a U.S based company, but they'll ship to Canada provided your order 2-3 molds.

brunch/lunch near canon theatre

I'll second the Queen and Beaver recommendation. Original brunch menu, great service, and it's about 5-7 mins walking distance from the Canon.

New Pickles? Are they only in NYC?

You can find new pickles at Starsky's grocery store (along with several other tasty pickled goods).

Quail eggs

You can find quail eggs at Scheffler's Delicatessen in the St.Lawrence Market. They are delicious friend and served over noodles and chicken.

Best quality cocoa powder for sorbet

I must second Otonabee's SOMA recommendation. They make my very favorite powdered cocoa. Great for recipes.

Looking for new French restaurant in Toronto.

It's not new, but I'll go ahead and recommend Batifole. Delicious French food, attentive service, and a wine list that goes on and on. Swoon-worthy : )

Recs for a casual dinner - Yonge & College

I'd recommend Hornero's north of College on Yonge (just before Wellesley). The atmosphere is lovely, the food is consistent, and they make a mean Mojito. Enjoy your date night : )

Chipwiches in Toronto?

They sell Chipwiches at the Blue Banana in Kensington Market (250 Augusta Ave.) I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when I spotted them the first time! Bought two. Mmmmm!

ISO dried mango strips

7D is a company based in the Philippines that packages soft mango strips. They have the consistency of licorice, or gummy bears. They are sweet, delicious, and widely available at most grocery stores. I've even seen them near the checkout counter at Longo's

Fantastic Curry Roti - Ghandi on Queen West

Ghandi Roti is definitely closed on weekends (though I believe this is a recent change). Was there last night, and the door sign read "closed" on Saturday and Sunday. Sad because I really could have gone for the mutter paneer roti (my absolute FAVORITE! )
