Not just one meal, many meals, 1987, the year I discovered Indian food. I was living in Cambridge, England, taking summer classes. Dorm food was inedible so I wandered the streets where I found spicy, delicious Indian restaurants everywhere I looked.
My current drink of choice:
I really wish I could:
Open a combination cafe/bookstore that changes its menu daily
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
I seldom make the same thing twice
My favorite comfort food:
Crusty baguette with sweet butter
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
So hard to choose! Ever changing, but this week it would be Republique, Gjelena; Salt's Cure; and Milo and Olive.
My most tattered cookbooks:
Sunday Suppers, Simply French; The Splendid Table (the original); The Santa Monica Farmer's Market Cookbook; and The Flavor of France by The Chamberlains
