Questions on Baking a quiche with Brie

Thanks! We do want to keep it simple and easy. The theme of the brunch was a lot of little bites of her favorite things... that's literally what she said she liked, ha! But I prefer the look and ease of the normal sized dish. I will take inspiration from your recipe, as it looks amazing!

Questions on Baking a quiche with Brie

I do appreciate the sentiment. I did know about Adrienne Shelly's death at the time we saw the movie, and my cousin was touched to find out the little girl featured at the end was Shelley's own daughter. But as others mentioned, it also was a movie we loved and we often talked about wanting to bake all the pies featured in it. I know this "pie" in particular stood out to my cousin and it is a gift to her. Thank you for the feedback on the phyllo cups, I may try a practice run to see how it all works!

Questions on Baking a quiche with Brie

Several years ago my cousin and I saw the movie "Waitress", in which the eponymous pastry-slinger makes "I Don't Want Earl's Baby Pie" - a delicious looking concoction of brie, ham, and eggs. Now my cousin is getting married and I am throwing the bridal shower. I finally found a recipe that re-creates the film pie... well, it's really a quiche.

In hopes of getting this right for her special day, I was looking for a few tips:
a) Any recommendations for the brie? First thoughts are a good baking Camembert from Whole Foods, but I would appreciate any input.
b) Same for ham.
c) I am going to convert the recipe into mini pies using phyllo cups. I am pretty confident in my baking abilities and will likely be portioning out by eye, but again, any tips are always welcome!
Thanks for reading!

Help! Greek Islands closed....

I have my long awaited college graduation on May 3rd and the plan was to feast at Greek Islands afterwards. I just received word that Greek Islands is closed for, quite sadly, health code violations. Since it has been a family favorite, in spite of the touristy-ness, I am at a loss for an alternative. Any recommendations for a good Greek restaurant?
