Glen Head/Sea Cliff/Greenvale

I have to go to a wake and funeral in Glen Head/Sea Cliff this week. Time will be tight between work and train schedules. Can anyone recommend a place for quick dinner/breakfast near any of these LIRR stations? Or alternatively near Whitting Funeral Home or St. Boniface ?

Thanks!

Society Hill/Old City

We'll be visiting Philadelphia for a Saturday through Tuesday in March. Five adults and two kids 7 and 3 years old. Would love recs on kid friendly places to eat near the Sheraton Society Hill, especially for breakfast and dinner. We will be hitting Reading Terminal Market for lunch one day and doing the usual tourist stuff the rest of the time. Thanks!

Peppino's in woodside- closed???

Went past Peppino's today - they have a brand new awning and those grand opening banners outside. They are still not answering their phone, but it looks like they should be re-opening soon.

Pupusas in Queens

Izalco on Roosevelt between 64th and 65th St has papusas which I like (but I have no idea if they are 'good')

Toddler friendly restaurants in Holyoke and around

We are heading to the Pioneer Valley next weekend with our three year old. Staying in Holyoke so any breakfast recs in that area and lunch and dinner further afield would be greatly appreciated. We basically like everything but the more economical the better. Thanks all.

Cooking without Gas

Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions. We should be able to get by with these (and a few meals out) without buying new equipment (which unfortunately we don't have space or money for right now!)

Thank you! You read my mind - that was the part of the question I forgot to ask.

Cooking without Gas

The gas in my co-op is going to be turned off for at least two weeks while some project is going on beginning in the New Year. When this was done on another line in our building the gas was off for much longer than the estimated time. I plan on making soups, taco meat, chili, lasagna and having some cooked chicken in the freezer to make up some meals for that time. Any other interesting suggestions? I have a microwave, toaster oven and waffle iron/sandwich press at my disposal.

Coffeehouse with wireless in Sunnyside?

Might be too far, but Cafescape on Roosevelt/Woodside Ave and 59th would work.

Great dinner at Spicy Mina's

Those of us who LIVE here don't really consider it the 'bowels of Queens'. Just a neighborhood with some of the best food in New York City.

Big Supermarket in Queens with Organic products

There is a Stop and Shop on 48th St and Queens Boulevard that has the Nature's Promise brand - some of which is organic and some is natural. Great store and rarely crowded.
