Where is the best Mexican in Toronto?

I second (or third) Rebozos. As a former Californian, I used to miss the taco trucks that you'd find here and there with awesome tacos. I had the craving today and went. Awesome! 2.50 for each taco (choices include chorizo, pork, tongue...). I tried the chorizo and was happy. I also had the pozole soup (chicken with chickpeas and you put lettuce and lime on the soup and eat the chicken with crunchy taco shells). I washed it all down with a refreshing horchata. I left completely happy and for a second there I thought I was back in LA.

vegemite and twisties

Vegemite: Ring them up (Mrs. Bridges British Bakery) before driving. When I went they only had 2 jars of vegemite left and I bought one of the two. 3.15 for a small jar. According to the lady, it is a big seller

Tim Tams: Loblaws at Bayview Center on Sheppard/Bayview. I checked last week and they had plenty.

Coopers Beer: LCBO also at Bayview Centre had Coopers Sparkling Ale from good old Adelaide 3 weeks ago.

In NYC I was able to find Vegemite and TimTams (dark chocolate, regular, mints) at the Tuck Shop on East 1st St (Corner 1st Ave) but they charged more than double (6.50 for vegemite and Tim Tams)

Australian restaurants in Toronto?

THANK YOU!!! I just got back and they only had 2 jars left. The expiration date was August 2008 so only bought 1.. so there is one left. The lady there said vegemite was a big seller for them and wanted to know what it tasted like.. I've never had marmite so could not compare it for her..

Australian restaurants in Toronto?

G'day. I just moved to TOR from Adelaide about a month ago. I'm happy to report that 2 weeks ago I went to Loblaws on Sheppard/Bayview (Bayview subway) and they had just stocked up on Tim Tams! Alas no vegemite.. just marmite ;(.. I also stopped by the LCBO at the same shopping centre AND they had Coopers Sparkling Ale for only 2.15 a bottle! Its the beer I drink back in Oz. To top it off, I found a Wynn's 2005 Coonawara Reisling ($15) that James Halliday rated a 94! I rushed home and had me a Tim Tam slam... and later on opened up the Reisling. I had a flashback of drinking Reisling and eating amazing South Australian oysters on East Terrace back in Adelaide! Now if I can only find a pie floater I would not be missing Adelaide as much... I'm off to try to find Vegemite...
