You can try Caffe Carciofo in cobble hill, Noodle pudding in the heights either of these you can't go wrong with. Plenty of choices in you area too.
Miriam's to replace Hill Diner
Carciofo remains a steady good food/service place since the early 90's. I think their $19.95 pre-fix (full Menu including dessert) is unbeatable in the nabe. Joe, the owner is just a sweetheart.
Too bad not many people ever mention it here.

Try Caffe Carciofo, they have a great $19.95 Pre fix, Mon- _Thurs. 3 course including any specials of the day. Then you can have a half or full carafe of thier great house wine for $9-$14 .I tried the others and this is right up there and an unbeatable value.
