Tea House in Chinatown
Well I'm not exactly a connoisseur, but I love green teas and just moved to downtown so would love a place to drink tea with friends...
Tea House in Chinatown
Any recommendations for a great place to sit down and have tea in Chinatown?
Thank you. . .
Midtown -- Radio City Hall -- Dinner/drinks that are good?? HELP!
I'm going to a show at radio city hall on tues and it's my birthday so i'm looking for a place nearby to get dinner/drinks. i live in williamsburg and my favorite place to eat is marlow and sons. OBVIOUSLY it's tough to avoid the tourist trap in midtown but where should I go? it can be a hotel -- just something special. Possibly something weird.

Asian Food near Pigalle?
hmm well would you suggest anywhere in the 9th then? I walked down to the very bottom of Rue Martyrs and saw a bunch of places down there. I'm going tomorrow night and taking a friend -- looking for some atmosphere. Someone suggested Les Pates Vivantes I think?
Asian Food near Pigalle?
Hi there, I'm recently relocated from NYC, and living near Montemarte/Pigalle and craving some great vietnamese or chinese. The cheaper and weirder the better. Any suggestions?
Best Destination Dive Eat
Ok, so I'm new to NYC (moved from LA). And there may already be strings of conversations about this (although my search didn't turn up any). But what is the best destination DIVE eat in the boroughs?
I've heard there is a tortilla factory in Williamsburg where you can sometimes buy tacos from fresh tortillas. Anything else like that?
I KNOW this is broad topic--but what are the hidden little dives that are worth getting into the car driving to Queens/Bronx/whatever and searching for parking just so you can have that dreamy pierogi or pho or whatever?
This is how I would spend my weekends in LA--any tips for where I should go here?
Young, cheap NYC Foodie in Chicago
Help!
I've just arrived for two weeks and am staying in downtown Chicago (around W. Hueron and Dearborn). I'm a photo assistant and don't have much money to spend eating out, but I want to try the best of the cheap, dive eateries around. Ethnic is great. Close or far--doesn't matter (although I only would be able to take public transportation).
I was in Chicago a few months ago and ate at Cafe Lula's, Frontera Frill and Avec. All fantastic. But where is that tiny Korean BBQ place that's great? Or your favorite italian place or pho joint? Ukranian? I feel like there must be a ton of little places to enjoy with a big stomach but a small budget.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. . .
cheap ethnic eats near Venice?
Bharat Bazaar on 11510 Washington has exceptionally good Indian take-out (the samosas are famously chep).
Sakura at 4545 Centinela (Cross Street: Culver Blvd) is pretty good sushi and is big so rarely is there a wait.
The argentine empanada place on Venice (Cross Street: Sawtelle?) is cheap, and great for kids--closes early so best for lunch or early dinner.
Alejo's on Washington and Lincoln is great BYOB boisterous Italian food. Doesn't look like much from the outside but has a sincere following.
Explore Lincoln. . .
Good food in NoHo/Burbank?
Any suggestions for a bite around Cahuenga Blvd and Burbank Blvd this evening?
Doesn't have to be sit down, doesn't have to be anything but damn good food. I'll take a hot dog stand, a taco truck, a diner, whatever. I just have to eat around there at 7pm solo and might as well make good food my date.
Thanks. . .
LA Foodie in Montreal for Weekend--Suggestions?

Best mexican restaurant
Thanks for all your help--
Ended up drowning in mole at Gueleguetza. Good place--rocked the queso fresco.
Best mexican restaurant
Ok, I know that I'm entering a dangerous black hole here--but I have to ask:
Best restaurant for mexican (that serves alcohol). Eastside or westside--whichever.
Any comments appreciated. (I know some of the best tastes are off of taco trucks, but I'm looking for a sit-down place). Thank you. . .
good eats in venice?
AXE! Highly recommend this place. On Abbott Kinney--fresh ingredients, very light Californian/Med cuisine. Barcelona ambiance. Simple candle lit feel for dinner. Never been disappointed.
For lunch--French Bakery on Abott Kinney. Sit outside on the patio and have a sandwich on a damn good french baguette.
Steer clear of Primativos--over-priced and bland food.
Dinner in Malibu
Geoffrey's is alright and the views are fantastic.
Highly recommend:
Taverna Tony (Greek, bit noisy inside, but beautiful bougenvilla outside patio. Moussaka rocks)
Sage Room (Italian. Small spot but wonderful food.)
Nobu (Hate to say it. But had to say it)
3rd and Fairfax Farmer's Market--Best Lunch?
Going to get lunch at the orginal Farmer's Market (by the infamous Grove) on 3rd and Fairfax. What's the best eat there? Any suggestions appreciated. . .
Two days for lunch and love food where should we go?
Consider Cafe Stella for beautiful French dining in Silverlake.
Dinner Dive for B-day Foodie?
Any suggestions for a worthy dive for a birthday dinner. Or a great resturaunt w/a good garden, a view, or a back alley. My boyfriend's birthday and I have writers block. Where should I take him for something special--Help!
