Mexican food Fairfield County?
Can I have some suggestions for the best mexican food in the fairfield county area? I have been craving it all day and I'll be there this weekend so I need a few good suggestions. I have been to some average mexican places in the area, but I want to know what everyone thinks the best is. Thanks in advance!
Finally made it to Chao Phaya
I tried Chao Phaya today in Somerville because my Thai Kitchen in Bridgewater was closed for the week and so was Thailand Restaurant in Clark (I'll be SO happy when they come back) and would NEVER go back to Chao Phaya. It wasnt terrible, but I would not consider it good by any standard and definitely not as good as some of the other thai places in the area. We asked for medium spice as everyone said this place is spicy, but medium was mild anywhere else and not spicy at all. Also, their menu tends to leave out some of the items they put in their food that I would have wanted to be taken out. The fried rice I ordered had tomatoes in it, which I hate, and nowhere on the menu did it mention the tomatoes, and there was also pineapple in the dish I ordered that wasn't mentioned. It was also more expensive than some other places for what we got. Not worth it at all!

Splash Of Thai in Somerville - - A Review
I asked a waiter friend of ours how splash of thai is. He previously worked at Origin, and now works at a different Thai restaurant and is from Thailand. His response was that American people must not know what good thai food is, because he thought Splash was terrible. Im going to take his advice and not bother going there. He said Origin has great food, but he hated working there.
Restaurants in Fanwood?
Of all the diners in the area I think the Scotchwood is the worst, so I wouldnt recommend that place to anyone.

Which Westfield Resto to Choose?
Westfield has good restaurants, but everyone seems to only go to those 3. Ferraros across the street is always good. And some of the ones not in the center are great.

Went to Mojave last week. Service was HORRIBLE! and the food was only ok. Given a choice I wouldnt go to any of those 3 restaurants.
Splash of Thai in Somerville, NJ?
Splash of Thai in Westfield is alright, but I prefer Thailand Restaurant in Clark or Mie Thai in Woodbridge. If Im in the Sommerville area I'll go to Thai Kitchen, cause that place rocks :)

Do people seriously think of Dennys, Ihop and Perkins as diners?....they are just chain restaurants with average food to me...

While I have heard people rave about the Reo, when I went the food was bad and the service was terrible. And there are too many other diners in NJ to go back and give it another shot.
