Has anyone been to a simcha at the Dyker Beach Golf Course?. How was the caterer, food and venue? Was the food more modern (sushi) or od fashioned? Would you recommend this venue for 300 people? |

Gobble Gobble-Need Source for fully cooked Kosher turkey for a Brooklyn Thanksgiving. Have they reopened since the fire? |

Gobble Gobble-Need Source for fully cooked Kosher turkey for a Brooklyn Thanksgiving. Maybe one of the kids could roast the turkey, wrap well to insulate, and bring to Bubby and Zaddy's. I've done this when my parents could not. There are memories to be made for everyone, including the grandkids. Try it. |

Need VERY small turkey raw or fully cooked for family of four in Brooklyn My husband and I enjoy turkey quite a bit. Since we are the only two at home, I will buy the smallest one available (usually about 12 pounds) prepare and roast the whole thing and immediately cut it in half. While warm, wrap in double layers of foil and place in a plastic freezer bag. it will keep at least two months. Defrost and enjoy this special meal again. BTW: we love to roast the turkey on our charcoal grill. Delicious!!!! |

We (all 18 of us) are considering the Passover program at The Topnotch Resort and Spa in Stoxxe, VT. Have any of you heard of the hotel or caterer? How about rates for the week? Thanks for your feedback. Bubbyrebecka |

does Costco do the butchering and packaging? If not, how long before appearing at Costco were the products packaged? Nicely vacuum packed scares me |

Went to Pik-n-Pay two weeks ago. Great prices, but..........the stored smelled less than clean. Advertised frozen chicken cutlets were being sold defrosted! I wasn't happy with the veal chops in the case and asked for thicker ones at the sale price. Only those in case from day before on special. since "we have to get rid of them" And the chickens? Filthiest that I have ever seen. We still went to Lawrence/Cedarhurst to fill in everything not available in Brooklyn. Even with great prices I doubt that we will be going back. |

DeisCane...Thanks for your advice. Our next question is about hotel location..we want to be centrally located so that we can walk to major attractions. What area (hotel) would you recommend as centrally located? After the Jewish ghetto what would be your "must see' suggestions? |

Moshe's Falafel Truck - 57th & B'way Thanks for the info. My son and I, in the pouring rain, found the truck on Monday at 56th and Broadway. They were still passing out "free ball". The falafal sandwiches rate very high on our list of bests! |

How about one of the beautiful new cookbooks that are dedicated to Passover? I have a few and love looking at them for more than just the recipes. Photos are very inspiring too. |
