Venezuelan food in DC?

I moved from Boston to DC 4 years ago and am still searching for a restaurant to take the place of my all-time favorite, La Casa de Pedro in Watertown, Massachusetts. (For anyone heading to the Boston metro area, I STRONGLY recommend a detour through Watertown to sample Pedro's FANTASTIC food!!!! http://www.lacasadepedro.com/).

Anyone have any tips for me on a good DC equivalent?

LI Restaurant with private room for 80ish?

Does anyone know of a good, but reasonably priced, Long Island restaurant that can seat 80 people for a private party? I'm looking for an inexpensive, but delicious, sit down or buffet for a Saturday night rehearsal dinner in January '09.
