Belfast eats
i had a great meal at Mollys yard - where they have there own brewery as well, good casual lunch and a nice walk out of the city centre. We did brunch at i think it was Rain - one of the rankin restaurants. dinner was at Michael deanes restaurant - only starred restaurant in the city and one i cannot recommend highly enough...
Breakfast "L'Anglais" @Chez Gerrard, Heathrow
i had a shocking meal there the other month - ordered something from the "all day menu" and was told they weren't running it yet as it wsa too early and then the Warm baguette" i ordered was not only fridge cold but still had slivers of cellophane inside. We actually got tutted at for daring to ask for condiments too - terrible and not something i will bother repeating
A week in London with Teenagers
Why not try gordon ramsays Boxwood cafe - that is in knightsbridge and they do a simple set 3 course menu that might appeal, otherwise pub choice - Greta Queen st in covent garden, try one of the Yo Sushi branches (sushi on a conveyer belt) They have one in the department store Harvey Nicholls in knightsbridge. Also wagamamas in knightsbridge again in harvey nicholls. Why not try Giraffe in Kensington high Street (great brunch/smoothies etc) too happy eating!
Maze Grill
the deep fried oysters are indeed delicious, - great wine list, great choice of steaks and a surprisingly nice room considering how it used to look - i would recommend it highly.
After theatre in London
cafe du jardin is fine - pretty pricy though and service can vary wildly,haven't eaten at the others i have to say. Mela is v good - indian on shaftesbury avenue otherwise how about great queen street - a great pub around the corner in covent agrden
Good burgers in London.
lucky 7 on westbourne park road near notting hill is the best in my opinion, otherwise i think the burgers at giraffe ( a chain) are great
Where to take/impress my girlfriend?
megu - but it is pretty pricy or do Gordon Ramsays MAZE - set menu is astonishing value and if you ask when you book you can have a tour of the kitchen too...

i would second prune but you do have to wait a while as they dont take reservations, bloody marys to die for though otherwise aqauvit has an all you can eat smorgasboard with a drink included...

if you read his marking system you'll see that it is the same across the board ie if he reviews a pub or 3* restaurant so pretty good therefore
