Best Burgers for a sunday afternoon?
I heard of a place in Casmere does anyone know of this place?
Westport Grayland
these were my experience from the last time I was there.
I went to Bennetts in grayland last time I was there it was excellent! But the menu is from $11-20 which is pretty normal but when they say " Our three specials tonight are" expect to pay 25-30 a plate. I had the rib steak covered in asparagus, crab and Holindase sauce. the Halibut covered in crab, shrimp, asparagus and cream sauce is also good that was the 2 speacials that night.
Breakfast: The Fogcutter out by the lighthouse also excellent for breakfast and Lunch! They are not open for dinner. the food was great, decent portions and very clean place.
Lunch : The new place, The Mermaid Pub and Deli. Talk about some excellent subs they were large and full of fresh sliced meat not fillers like lettuce and tomatoe. it was in it, but the main part of the sandwich was meat. I didn't ask but it almost seemed like home made french bread. They also make thier own large brownies and cookies.
I was not impressed at all with Barb's by the sea. the sevice was slow and there was only 3 tables that had customers at them. the portions were small. and just a old westport experience. slow and medioker food.
The One Eyed crab was reservations only so I didn't go there, I looked in the door and it did not impress me.
We went to the mutaineer in grayland also. It is kind of a plane jane but the food was good. I had the captians platter with a full assorment of seaffod and they were all good and seemed fresh.
The Islander had a stove blow up and blew the transformer so that and the half moon grill was out.
Westport Grayland

"Greater Seattle" v. "Pacific Northwest"
I feel it should just be the seattle area not eastside or north end. every time i try to get a tread going on the north end or outside of seattle and state that in the text someone always replys for the downtown seattle area so give them their own tread I hate the traffic I hate the crowds and the parking why fight it when there are so many nice places outside seattle and portland

Looking for fried (whole belly) clams...
That would be what we call here in the Northwest as steamer clams. they are whole clams steamed in there own juice just until they pop open. And you are right they are so much better tham clam strips. I do not ect clam strips but I can put a whole kettle of steamer clams away. I will have to try the fried version.
"Cool" restaurant for preteens/teens (Seattle)

Looking for fried (whole belly) clams...
I would also like to know what are full belley Clams? Is it the way they are prepared or is it a large belly clam like a Razor clam?
Spokane question
The problem I have found with these boards is that unless you are in Seattle or portland nobody ever answers. I put on in for Sandpoint one time not to long ago and the adminisrator moved it out of the Northwest board to somewhere else. Like it was not in the Northwest. even though it is only a short 30 minute drive from Spokane. I know there are alot of good places to eat in eastern WA we just need to start talking about them.
Lets start with the Harvest Cafe in Rockport just south of spokane. The White house at Stateline is great. Longhorn Bar-B-que in airway heights I think it is still there
Best Chili in Washington?
Now we're talking some places that are worth the drives. We should be able to put a good list together if we can cover all 4 corners of the state

Where to get mincemeat? [E. Washington]
Where in eastern WA can you get real mincemeat? Not the overly sweet or vegitarian stuff like is in most grocery stores. I am looking for the old real version like my grandmother made.
Best Chili in Washington?
I'm sure it is an excellent place. when I looked at the link it says 1st ave south I'm guessing that is in Seattle. I am looking for something outside the city and the crowds.
Best Chili in Washington?
With the cold weather setting in. I am looking for the best bowl of chili in Wash. But it must be out of the metropolitan areas! Something that is worth a Sunday drive to go out and enjoy the beauty of Washington from the Pacific coastline to the Idaho border. There has to be quite a few. list your favorite spot
