Restaurant for 50th anniversary
I need recommendations for a restaurant for about 10 people for a 50th anniversary. Only problem is parents freak if I spend too much money and should be close to Wyckoff, New Jersey area Also, preferably not a BYO
Vero Beach restaurant for a special birthday dinner
For my in-laws, I am wondering if someone can reccommend a nice place in the Vero Beach/Fort Pierce area. I think that they like seafood but continental is fine. Thanks.
Solaia/Caprizza Bad job
Wanted to try Caprizza in Englewood tonight. Went to the restaurant. They said that they were having the same menu as Solaia tonight since there was a show at Bergen Pac. In other words, since you people are here for the show, we will rip you off despite the fact that we advertize Caprizza as a casual restaurant. If this is going to happen, why bother with a second restaurant. As far as I am concerend this is fraud.

Did Sally Lings close?
We know about Lotus but were trying to be closer to Fort Lee. Quite frankly, I find the take out at Lotus to be better than the "eat in". My in laws were regular customers at Lotus.

Apparently they closed due to the rent being high. So, I now have to find another place. Anyone have suggestions?

Just wondering if anyone knows if Sally Lings in Fort Lee has closed. The number that I have for them is disconnected and I am told that it looks dark . The place was a little strange when they started to share space with the CoffeeTree cafe that had gotten evicted from the space next door.

Lunch on Sunday
That is the thing. We will likely have a car. So, the neighborhood up to about 96th street is fine. PRobably more of a lunch place than a brunch place and no buffet. This is a close friend so I am not that concerned with price. I am really looking for something that gives her a great experience and if possible something different.

Best bakery for birthday cake in Bergen County, NJ
I could not agree more regarding B&W. The crumb cake was very dry. I think that Entenmann's is better. There is nothing better than Palisades Park Bakery although Miller's in Cliffside will certainly do if you do not feel like driving to Palisades Park
4 West Diner?
We passed by this place today. Not certain if it opened but wondering if anyone has tried it. IF it was open, it was quite crowded. This is the old Bennigans in Englewood
Post Funeral Luncheon
I am looking for a nice restaurant near or on Paramus Road in Paramus for a luncheon after a funeral and burial. The place must be able to accomodate a large table of about 16 to 20 people or have a private room for this. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
BYOB in Bergen
Looking for a good BYOB in Bergen County, preferably in the Fort Lee area but will travel about a half hour. Need a place to take wife, in-laws and guest in from California. Want good food , nice service and the ability to sit for a while. Any suggestions?

Chinese Food Delivery in North Bergen
Well, it is too cold to go out tonight. So, I am wondering if anyone could reccommend any delivery in the North Bergen area. (That is the North Bergen in Hudson County) , not the Northern part of Bergen County. We used to like the Green Shell in Fairview but it was not that good the last time, any recs appreciated.

All that I can say is that I was married there seven years ago, under old management and it was wonderful. Everyone said that it was the best wedding that they were at. I think that you need to go there for dinner a few times and try different things. I honestly do not know if the kitchens are different. You may want to ask them this and ask to try the food. The shrimp were excellent. All of our food was very good. Just do not know if it still the same as they have new owners but Sanzari usually does a good job. I was not that impressed when Dinallo was the only owner but I have heard that his other restaurant is excellent. So, I would think that the combination of Sanzari and Dinallo would be good. Good luck.

Food at Segreto not bad. Service the most obnoxious I have ever seen. I will never go back
Is Fairway Market coming to Paramus, NJ?
Contrary to your statement, I know of people that go to Fairway, Fort Lee from Saddle River. They have the right to the Fairway name in New Jersey. I am quite certain that this can be worked out but not if New York Fairway takes some bulldog attitude.

Thanksgiving Dinner in Fort Lee Area
Anyone have any ideas for reasonably priced Thanksgiving Dinner. It's my wife, myself and our respective parents. Possibly for 6 - 10 people. Looking for around $25 per person.
Quiet place to meet in NJ between GWB and Lincoln tunnel
If you want a view, try Baumgart's at Citiplace which is about four miles or so south of the Bridge on River Road. It is in the complex directly south of the 16 plex movie theater. If the view is not that important, then you could try NewsBar on Main Street in Fort Lee or The Coffee Tree Cafe in a small shopping center on Palisade Avenue in Fort Lee (By a Chinese Restaurant called Sally Lings)
