Advent calenders

I don't know if they still have them but I bought some at Laura Secord a few years ago for my kids. I chose them specifically because instead of being little doors that you open, each day is a little box. I take them out with my christmas decorations every year and fill the little boxes with surprises, instead of having to buy new ones.

Cookie Decorating Classes?

I would be very interested in a class like this as well. I even looked at something like Supperworks, to see if they had holiday baking sessions, but they don't. I used to bake a ton for family and friends around the holidays, but I have a really small kitchen now and find it difficult to do.

Please let me know if you find anything.

Breakfast around the Eaton Centre

I'm meeting a friend for breakfast tomorrow morning before we go shopping.

Any suggestions for a good breakfast around the Eaton Centre?
Thanks!

Terra Burger on Eglinton?

How pricey are we talking about?

Looking for Pâte à Choux

Thank you so much. I wasn't being very inventive with the name! It might have taken me a long time to find it! Thanks for your other suggestions, I'll look into those.

Looking for Pâte à Choux

I bought a pretty good butter croissant today from a small market. The owner told me it was from a bakery called Pâte à Choux, around Yonge & St.Clair. Of course, I had already left the store when I ate the croissant, so I didn't know I might want to find the bakery.

Does anyone know it? Is it worth going?

Thanks!

Le Pain Quotidien - Coming to Toronto?

Perhaps people go back because there are few other options on Eglinton that can pass for breakfast or casual lunch.

When I was there a waitress told me they were hoping to open soon in Montreal. If not in Toronto, maybe they'll crash and burn there.

It's unfortunate that the only thing not lacking at LPQ is ambition!

Lolo

I was just there this weekend with a few friends. I had great veal liver and grilled vegetables. It got a bit too loud around 9pm, but a great experience overall. I would certainly go back.

Le Pain Quotidien - Coming to Toronto?

I have to agree with acd123. Tried a croissant this morning. Tastes great but the texture is simply awful. Hopefully, they'll adjust. For now, it's certainly not worth $3 a piece.
We did try a couple of the tartelettes this week, and they were quite good. Still, it's nice to have a breakfast option in the neighbourhood.

Lebanese or Armenian bakery

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll definitely try those.
My turn to say I don't know which part of Montreal you'll be in or what type of food/restaurant you're looking for. Here are a few different ones:
Byblos - 1499 Laurier East. Iranian - casual, not too pricey
Le Petit Alep - 191 Jean Talon East. Syrian - always packed, really good food, not too pricey. Alep is just besides and is pricier, also very good
Daou - 519 Faillon East. Lebanese - a bit pricier, althought it doesn't look like much.
Boulangerie Arouch -917 Liege West. Armenian. Sandwiches and pastries to go, the best Lahmajoun

Lebanese or Armenian bakery

New to this board, new to Toronto.
I'm used to shopping at Adonis in Montreal for Lebanese goodies and I'm wondering if there is something similar in TO, accessible by subway. I'm especially craving Manakeesh, Fatayers and Katayef. I would also really appreciate a recommendation for an Armenian bakery, to get good Lahmahjoon. Thanks!
