Steak places are the best for a large group of guys! i totally recommend Churrascaria Plataforma, Sparks, or Strip House. Have fun!!!

Pegu club is great! it gets crowded around midnight though... The downstairs at Tailor is great too! and not too crowded!

Los Dos Molinos- nothing great and not worth the price
Stand- pretty good for quick bite, but want more healthy options for lunch or dinner
Saigon Grill- agree, pretty good and reasonable. dont go as much bc of the labor dispute
i've never been to Petite Abeille, so i'd be willing to check that out. i feel like there are not many good places that appeal to everyone, like if i have guests, etc. sometimes i go to The Coffee Shop, but it's so overpriced and not worth it. i also feel that l'express gets way too packed and it's not worth it.
are there any other options that would appeal to many? a place we could sit-down at if we want? Preferably something on or close to the east side.

I went to Frederick's Downtown a couple weeks ago with a group of 10 and the food was fantastic. Everyone loved it.
Also, what about Olives in union square? they have a great upstairs with large tables. I've been there multiple times and it's always been fantastic.

i just moved to union square and i am having a tough time finding reasonably priced places to get dinner on weeknights. any suggestions? i'm on union square south, so any suggestions in the area would be great! i can't find anything for good takeout either!
wedding reception in palm beach
i didn't look into the Sondy House, but i think Delray may be a bit far from the airport... most of the guests will be flying in from NY so i want to make it as easy as possible. We are thinking of having it in April with 80-100 people. since it will be small, i dont mind paying more per person. i love daniel boulud, which is why i thought of the Brazilian Court. The breakers is pricey, but i remember it being really beautiful. i just hope its not a total cookie-cutter type event.

go to Bond St if you can get in! Girls LOVE asian fusian. i was taken there on dates and was very impressed bc it is a very cool vibe, great drinks, and great food.
been to apizz too... good date spot, but italian is a bit heavy food-wise. i think its more fun to go on a more trendy/fun spot for a 1st date. Try Bond Street!

Jean Georges Review
Went to Jean Georges on Friday night for my bday dinner... i was dissapointed because i felt that it was very mediocre! We did not get the tasting menu, but i still expected the 3-course options to be good!
i ordered the Sea Trout Sashimi, Red Snapper, and Black Sea Bass. My boyfriend had the asparagas, foie gras, and beef tenderloin. i didn't even finish my servings and i tasted my boyfriends choices and was not blown away.
In my mind, it was not worth the hype at all. many of the dishes were bland and nothing seemed special. the wine was not so great either.
Going to Per Se in a few weeks, so hopefully that will be much better.
What to order at Jean Georges?
My boyfriend is taking me to Jean Georges for my bday dinner this weekend and i am VERY excited. We both have never been. Can anyone give me a recommendation of what to order? any tips to enhance experience?

engagement party ideas
i am looking for a good location to have an engagement party. we will have around 25 people, so we'd prefer to do h'orderves and drinks... somewhere chic but not crazy expensive. we would also do something a little different then a typical cocktail party, like a wine tasting, etc. any ideas for a good spot? has anyone done anything fun and have ideas to share or a good location?
Babbo VS Del Posto VS Felidia Comparison
i have been to both many times... the pastas are great at both Del Posto and Babbo. At Del Posto the decor was far superior, but the apps and entrees were not quite as good as Babbo. At babbo, the food is better, but the decor is plain, especially upstairs. the service was the same at both places. i'd take her to Del Posto bc the atmosphere is more upscale and it will seem more special. just know what to order beforehand.

Post Theater near 44th and 6th, good, low key, parent friendly
Becco is a great Italian spot. I've been there many times. The food is great and it is very reasonable. They have a pasta special where the waiter give you unlimited different kinds of pastas straight from the sautee pans.
