Any suggestions for a romantic restaurant, perhaps with a tasting menu, in SF proper? California cuisine/new american/ asian or French influences would all be great. Basically I'm interested in SF's answer to Gramercy Tavern. Any ideas?

For a 28 hour stopover in Sydney I'm hoping to put together a good day's eating. I'm especially interested in Asian cuisines and fresh seafood but would be open to places that are unique to the city. Since I'll be alone, street stalls and casual places would be ideal but I'd be willing to splurge for the right meal. Any ideas? Thanks!
