BEST BAGELS IN NYC
Do these places all have tables to eat in: Davids, Tals, Ess, Murrays and Bobs?
Private Dining for Party of 22
I am looking for somewhere to host a birthday party for 22 people later this month. The crowd is mostly older. Price does matter, mid twenty entrees max. It needs to be a comfortable setting but does not need to be high end. Back Bay, South End, North End, or thereabouts by taxi. Not Cambridge. New American or Italian would be great. Thanks.
Penobscot Peninsula, Maine Food Producers
We are spending a few weeks in Brooklin in July. Are there any food producer/growers on the peninsula from whom we can directly buy their products? We are looking for meat, eggs, dairy, produce, seafood, etc... Ingredients that we can bring back to our house to cook with. Anywhere around Deer Isle, Cape Rosier, Brooksville, Blue Hill, Orland area. Organic is a plus.
Alameda: 3 Simple Meals
Thank you so much for that wonderful response. I will report back. By the way, based on your last name and where you live, are you by any chance related to the Laflers who lived next door to the Buena Vista Methodist Church in the late 60's? That's actually why we are coming, my wife used to live there as a child.
Alameda: 3 Simple Meals
We will be staying in Alameda near the Buena Vista/Park intersection. We need three meals, we are adventurous eaters, but are not looking for anything high end. Anything from simple coffee shop to $20 entrees (dinner). And we need it to be walking distance. We have three suggestions from a friend, do they or others fit the bill?
Jim's Coffee at 2333 Lincoln for breakfast or lunch
Speisenkammer at 2424 Lincoln for lunch or dinner
Ching Hua on Park nr Buena Vista for lunch or dinner
Mac n' Cheese
About a year ago, my daughter had a great mac 'n cheese at Summer Shack. It stood up to anything else on the table. Smooth and zesty with a toothsome pasta.
Natick--Dinner and Breakfast Suggestions
We are staying overnight midweek near the Natick Mall, near Rt.'s 9 and Speen Street in Natick. We need a dinner, ethnic is good, non-chain, under $20 per person. We also need a hot breakfast, either in that area or Waltham where we're heading. Nicer than a greasy spoon, but not fancy. Some healthy choices preferred. And a place for a good Cappucino. Thanks!
