Cooking Crab on the Beach

I am now thinking of going to Hapf Moon Bay to the crab boats. Are there stands for my pot? Do I need to bring a stand and if so, where do I find one? What kind of heat? Will a small propane tank for a camping grill work? Thanks!

Cooking Crab on the Beach

I have heard that you can cook live crab on the beach. Supposedly, you can pick up live crab at the ferry building early in the morning (that was caught the night before) and take it to Ocean beach for lunch. Has anyone tried this? I have never cooked live crab.

What are the logistics involved?
What tools, untecils, etc, do you need to bring?
When is the crab available at the ferry building?
