I vote Devotay over Motley Cow every time. Beyond the food, the service at Devotay is unmatched in Iowa City.

Banditos breakfast is only on the weekends and starts a little late, but it's very good. I ate at Stella for lunch and thought it was ok, but I haven't been back.

anything involving the pork/green chili combo is great. All their other food I've found overpriced and bland. We went for dinner and spent well over 50$ on the meal and both left a lot of food behind because it was flavorless. If you're waiting in line to get into bluebird on a saturday or sunday morning, walk across and eat at Banditos for breakfast. You'll never go back.

Red's Ale House (alehouse?) in N. L. (former owners of Sluggers which was zapped by 08 flood) is open and serving good food with great beer. The brunch, while decadent, has nothing on the Iowa River Power Company brunch, which includes Mimosas and runs only a few dollars more.

Redhead in Solon is closed, and now is a decent mexican placed called "El Sol."

Wow, as a Venuto-regular I can say I never had poor service or a bad dish. I will miss the wonderful beer on tap in a great location. Graze is a massive disappointment unless I need dry ice in my martini...

I really enjoy Jade Sisters, which is right across the street from S.V. Great ingredients with pan-asian options!
