Dinner for 8 in Barcelona
Hi. I am going on a business trip to Barcelona and need a great restaurant for 8 people. Basically looking for something high-end/high quality but not a 3 star. Any suggestions?
Rotisserie Suckling Pig - Weber Summit
Hi. I am planning to cook a 12-15lb suckling pig on my Weber Summit BBQ using the rotisserie function. Has anyone tried this before? Trying to get a good recommendation for what temperature to cook it at and timing (am guessing the rotisserie fire at low and the left and right burners at low for indirect heat). Am thinking this will take about 3 hrs but wanted some advice. Thanks,.
Wife's 30th Birthday - Need to Impress
Hi. It is my wife's 30th birthday and am going to take her to Paris for a long weekend. Looking for two amazing restaurants/experiences. $s no object - want this to be the best weekend for her as this is our first time leaving the baby at home.
Paris Bistro Night - La Petit Cour vs. Thoumieux
Hi. im going to paris in May with my wife and trying to decide a good place for a bistro night .. right now choosing between Thoumieux (7th) and La Petit Cour (6th).
Both sounded fun but wanted to see what people thought or if other places were better.
Thanks.
Le Meurice or Pierre Gagnaire - Paris Weekend
Hi. I am going to paris in May and am going to do a bistro one night and a 3 star the other. Right now we are torn between Le Meurice and Pierre Gagnaire. From what I have read, Le Meurice is supposedly beautiful, romantic and great food but more traditional, old school French 3 star vs. Pierreg Gagnaire which is more unique, creative but not as romantic and a ton of food.
If you only had 1 you could do, which one would it be?
Kegs in Westchester/Fairfield County
Does anyone have any recommendations where I can purchase kegs of beer in Westchester/Fairfield county (live in Armonk). The place I used to get them from in Banksville closed. Thanks.
Any Banh Mi or Ramen Places in Westchester
I am moving to Armonk shortly and wondering if there are any good places for Banh Mi or ramen noodles yet in the area. I live in NYC now and am completely hooked on both.
Not afraid to drive a distance for good food.
Thanks.
One Night in Bangkok
I am on my honeymoon in August and we are stopping in Bangkok for one night on the way to Bhutan. We are staying at the The Oriental.
We only have one night and we were thinking about staying low-key and just having fun that night... Wondering where we should go for some fun local food and then some drinks. I've heard a lot about the different food markets but didnt know which one we should go to if we only have one night.
Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks.
Bouley??
I think it depends on what atmosphere you want... Bouley is quiet and a darker room so much more romantic than the other choices....
Recs? - Dinner w/Dad near 31 & Park
Jaiya -- really good thai restaurant on 28th and 3rd
Peter Luger's or Striphouse?
I think it matters what type of steak you want to eat... At lugars you are going to share a Porterhouse and it comes sliced.... It is a more fun environment.
Strip House is more of a restaurant that just serves good steak but you dont really share it.
Regarding service, Lugars is at least honest about not being overly friendly.... at Strip House, they act they are nice but typically the make you wait forever to sit down even if you had a reservation.
Puerto Rico Bachelor Party
I am having my bachelor party in late June in Puerto Rico. We are staying at the San Juan Hotel and Casino. Wanted to see if people had suggestions about where to eat/go out for a group of about 15 guys in their late 20s. Note, most of us just like to booze and arent the biggest clubbers.
Right now am thinking about doing one dinner at the hotel (they have a caribbean restaurant called Koco) and then partying at hotel/casino that night or at hotels nearby. The next night we were going to go into Old San Juan so looking for a restaurant with good food that could handle a party of that size (and can handle a crowd that will be jovial)...
Would also be interested in any fun places to go during the day (besides beach or golf).
Thanks for the help.

Friday Night: Stellas (have a late flight so not many places seated past 10pm but Stella's did)
Saturday: Either Brigtens or Herbsaint
Sunday: Either August or Cochon
Lunches:
Saturday: Domilise's for lunch and Pascale's for an oyster afternoon snack
Sunday: Galatoires
Thanks.
Exploring Chinatown...
Check out Fuleen Seafood - I think the quality of the menu (specifically the seafood) is great 11 Division St New York, 10002 212-941-6888
Another is Shanghai Cuisine - (212) 732--8988 - 89-91 Bayard St (b/w Mulberry & Mott) - they have amazing soup dumplings
STEAK FOR A BIG GROUP
Me and my friends do a steak dinner with about 8 people every 3/4 months and are trying to decide on the next place to go.
We've already done Lugars, Strip House, BLT Steak, Wolfgangs, Ben and Jacks, Knickerbockers, and Sparks.
We were considering STK but have heard terrible reviews so wanted to see what other people thought would be a good next additition..
Them having bacon on the menu is a big plus for this group.
West Village Date
Have a blind first date tomorrow night in the west village. Any suggestions? Looking for a place where drinks are focus but food is available if things go well.
New York food itinerary
I would go to Pearl Oyster Bar for seafood. Its got a great New England feel and the food is incredible. No reservations so expect to wait 30 minutes for a table.
