Restaurant request, Crystal City VA

Coming in on the 30th for 2 nights We would like to get some local inexpensive-moderate non touristy restaurants for dinner. I believe there is a restaurant row near us around 19th or 20th ? We are staying at the Embassy Suites in Crystal City. I think there was a decent bar restaurant with pool tables but I am sure that much has changed since our last visit 4 years ago.
Thank you all for your help!

in need of a tried and true baked chicken and rice?

Just realized I have work this evening and I have 3 chicken cutlets that I would like to bake with rice, mushrooms to save some time. Weren't there some old Campbell soup recipes? Just wanted to make something easy for my family to heat and eat, Any suggestions would be appreciated :0 )

Thanks!!!

Restaurant suggestions in and around Pinehurst

There is a great place for breakfast near the track, inexpensive, great portions and service. Run by a husband and wife. Check it out ... sorry to have forgotten the name but it's the Only place 30 yds. off the Horse track. All the golfers go there for breakfast. Also check out a place in Southern Pines ( 30 minutes tops away ) called Sweet Basil.

back to our honeymoon locale.....[Hilton Head]

We have the opportunity to revisit our Honeymoon spot! First time out I was recovering from cancer treatment ( 4 years ago ) and had a hard time getting around. But we loved the local restaurants everyone recommended. Sea Shack was a favorite! We will be staying on HHI from May 1 for a week. Looking to explore Savannah and surrounding area. Like the local scene, we have eclectic palates so all is welcome .Like to keep the cost down, not high rollers but still want good food. Also looking to hit a few good consignment shops. Any recommendations by my most favorite board will be welcome. Thanks to all in advance! Also any local papers online where I can see if there are any fairs or the like. Love Art ( am an artist ) so anything art related would be great. I Remember art on the porches, GREAT. Buford or Beaufort? sorry for the spelling... wanted to see a place with porches??/ Not sure where or what is still around, but I can't wait to get there!!!!. And yes, that will be me on the beach with about 30 kites :0 )

Where to have Sunday lunch in Raleigh NC?

One of our favorite, Vegan friendly if need be, restaurants. They have a great selection, all fresh, all local. Warm goat cheese salad is to die for.

I am an artist and we heard great things about Alexandria. Any recommendations for an artsy night out? Can the metro take us there or should we =drive and park? Mid range $$ for dinner is ok, we eat everything. We will be there this weekend.
Thanks

NY Hound new to Raleigh - need recommendations

My family and I have been in the Knightdale area of Raleigh for about a month now and are getting itchy to find the local eateries. We are looking for the best of, or opinions for:

Indian
Italian
BBQ ( Been to Claude Coopers downtown )
Mexican
All American
Greek
Seafood
Just about any recommendations would be appreciated. There seem to be so many restaurants tucked into the sides of the strip malls, and they are difficult to see from the main roads so I am sure we are missing them. Other than drive around looking for a place that has a full parking lot as a clue to the food can you please give us some insights to the local eateries anywhere in Wake county / Raleigh area? We have done the first Friday downtown and ate at the Irish pub/Restaurant there Tir nag ?
We are on a bit of a budget so really high end places, other than for a special occasions
will be far and few. Thanks you all for your help. We love our new home here in Raleigh it is a beautiful city.

Looking for some Polish Home Cooking

Moved to Maspeth recently and can get to Greenpoint as well. My husband is Polish and remembers what his mom from Poland would make but he does not speak Polish as he was taught to speak english only . ( so he could get a good job ) He like pork chops, pierogi, poppy seed, yet does not care for kielbasa. Any suggestions for a lunch or dinner on a chilly Sunday?
Thank you

Indian ingredients in NC

Yes- two more northerners ( Buffalo ) coming to try our hand at southern living. Problem is we both like Thai, and Indian food. Am willing to cook but am afraid that we may not get the ingredients needed. ( spices, flours and rice in particular ) We live fairly close to a very large Indian population but would rather buy once we get settled in in Raleigh. Any suggestions?

Dinner between Holbrook and Queens

Looking for a nice place for dinner half way between Maspeth Queens and Holbrook Long Island. ( Meeting friends for dinner ) Thought that Cool Fish would fit the bill but I only see some very old reviews. Has anyone been recently? Also if there are any other recommendations for a seafood place ( that also has a few cuts of beef ) would be great. thanking everyone in advance.

Halloween Parade Route- 14th and 7th Need to eat Dinner

Sorry for posting this so very late.....We will be at or about the 14th Street 7th Avenue area this evening and are getting in around 5 pm and will most likely be getting hungry for dinner. We are coming in to watch the parade so a jeans and loafers type place will suffice. We like ethnic, bar food, american. Looking to keep the cost at a medium range. Any suggestions? As always, thank you all for your help.

I was at the Atlantic Antic street festival this past Sunday ( Brooklyn ) and I had a divine slice of Red Velvet from a Bakery called "Betty" This was the best damn cake!!!! The people were sweethearts. And why I am looking for a recipe? because we are moving, if we were not leaving NY I would not bother to bake and only Buy the cake here. Please give them a go, I promise you will not be sorry. Best regards,
