Breakfast Burritos in Huntington Beach?
I would like to throw Papa Z's into the mix. Technically in Fountain Valley (Garfield and Magnolia) but solid breakfast burritos.
Wine Recs on a cruise?
You may also want to try the wine list from the "fancy" adults-only restaurant. They usually have a much better wine list. When we cruised on Disney they were very happy to bring wine down from the formal dining room.
Special occasion vegetarian in O.C.?
Old Vine Cafe in Costa Mesa has a very nice Veggie tasting menu paired with vino. Highly recommend it. They are willing to modify the dishes too.
Diamond Jamboree Asian Mall-Irvine
The new Greek restaurant isn't bad. A nice alternative to Daphne's.
Finally a place to eat in PV!
Loved the Hungry Tiger. The old Jolly Rogers was great too. Our family favorite was Del Contes on PCH. The garlic toast and that smoke filled lounge. Good stuff...
Store wine on its side or standing up?
Sounds good. Thanks for the tip on the wine box, winechik. I like your other solution too...
Store wine on its side or standing up?
I have a 50 bottle wine fridge that is full. The more I get into wine, obviously the more I am purchasing. I am at a point now I have 10+ bottles of wine, at any one point, that can’t fit in the fridge. I live in Southern CA and don’t have a basement and my garage get very hot. I have been storing the extra bottles in low kitchen cabinet standing up. Every time I drink a bottle from the fridge, I replace it with one from the cabinet. My question is, should I be storing the bottles in the cabinet on their sides or is it ok to stand them up?
Favorite Wines Under $15?
Justin "The Orphan" right around $15
2004 Santa Ema Merlot Reserve $9.00
2006 Strong Arms Shiraz $9.00
2005 Concha y Toro Cabernet Sauvignon Marqués de Casa, $17. I know it is north of $15, but worth the mention
Zov's in Irvine
Any feedback on this location, the one on Portola? How does the food compare to Tustin and how is the atmosphere? I know the menu is different. We are looking to go for dinner. Is it too casual for a birthday dinner?
Thanks
