Drinks in downtown Seattle

If you have the chance, check out Qube on 2nd, a block north of Nordstrom Rack. It's a boutique spot serving Asian & French cuisine. Their bar & lounge shake up some pretty creative cocktails. The best part is that their happy hour runs from 4 till 7 pm. Good bar food too.

Malay Satay Hut

Yeh, 3 or 4 years back. I think it's closed down for good. Bellevue is the best bet. Love their Singapore rice noodle dish too.

Seattle-area Dim Sum

Honestly, the best part of O'Asian is the free parking. Food is on par with Top gun. I think they have the same owner or he used to own Top Gun. Anyone wants real dim sum though, have got to go up to BC. Kirin in Richmond serves everything just perfectly & have better ingredients too.

Local Food Fine Dining in Seattle area?

Qube's new chef is a 'he' and used to work at Charlie Trotter's in Chicago? I believe the Laundry chef is now gone. Menu is pretty creative and the presentation quite impressive. Interior, well, it is modern, so if you like that sort of design. Not for everyone, I guess, but if you are looking for an experience, he offers a eight or nice course tasting menu.

Three days in Portland

If you are looking for something different try the thai restaurant, Typhoon, located in hotel Lucia in downtown; a great boutique hotel by the way. As I remembered their "drunken noodle" & "duck curry" were both excellent. Service, don't expect too much but you are on a food hunt right. I was told that all the cooks are form Thailand and I believe itl. Dinner, I suggest Fenouil, a little on the spendy side but, hey, there is no sales tax in Portland.
