Spuntino Wine Bar & Tapas - Clifton
It looks like Spuntino Wine Bar & Tapas is part of the Dohery Enterprise group that operates four restaurant concepts including: Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar, Panera Bread, Chevys Fresh Mex, and their own concept, The Shannon Rose Irish Pub.

Easter Sunday Brunc/Dinner Monmouth/Ocean county area?
A few weeks ago we went to The Mill in Spring Lake for their brunch and everyone just loved it. Their food was delicious and a great assortment - there was something for everyone. I just looked at their website and they will be having a brunch until 2 PM and then again for dinner starting at 4pm. It looks like they will also a Easter Dinner Four Course Prix Fixe Menu starting at 4:30 in another of their rooms.

Need Business Luncheon for 20 near Short Hills
We just went to a small affair (approx 75 - 100 people) at Ravello's on Eagle Rock Ave in East Hanover. I would give them a call and see if they could accomodate your group for a lunch. Their food was excellent.
On their website they said they can accomodate any size for corporate from small meeting to large groups.

Do you need an actual closed room? If a private area will do then I would suggest

They have an area on the right side when you walk in that they could probably set up for you. They have very good food and service. You could call and ask about what they could offer for the $15 pp.
Ladies Luncheon - Monmouth
I would suggest The Mill at Spring Lake. We have been there for dinner, lunch and recently for their Brunch which was also excellent.

Seeking Referrals in Bergen Cty For a NICE party room (perhaps within a restaurant) for 20 people.
I thought of an excellent place that I would really recommend:
Sanducci's in River Edge.
We have been there 2 or 3 times since they moved to their new location and they have a private dining area for parties. They are the real deal when it comes to Italian food and atmosphere, too. Their new place is just lovely. I love their Chicken Cristina and their Farfalle con Vodka & Pepe. There a many other dishes, but, that's all I can think of at the moment. They have parking. Their food is delicious and authentic. They even make their own bread and their homemade biscottti is addictive.

Well, if by "authentic Italian Venue" then I would suggest Goodfellas in Garfield. I have not been there for a long time, but, the last time I was there the food was excellent. Maybe someone on the board has been there recently. They have their own parking lot for parking. Wishing Mom a happy 80th!

Clove Indian Cuisine in East Rutherford - food delivery report
Wow, that didn't sound very tempting at all.
I would suggest calling Kamal Palace in North Arlington. They are at the very beginning of NA on the Lyndhurst border. They do delivery and their food is very good. We have had it a few times now and have always been very pleased. I would try calling them and for a large order of $73 I bet they would deliver to Rutherford as it is not that far.

Where to eat within 30 minutes of Millville?
Well, my friends got back to me and this is what they suggested:
Winfield’s Restaurant on High St . , near Main St . This is right in the center of town, so not far from the race track.
Dori’s Italian Restaurant, roughly across the street from Winfield’s, also near High & Main in Millville . BYOB. A new place that people have said is good.
Dakota Steak House, Rt. 55 and Landis Ave. in Vineland …..right off the highway, therefore very accessible to Millville and the track. They also have good sushi.
Mori’s Restaurant (or maybe “Morie’s”), East Ave & Landis Ave in Vineland , next to the restored Landis Theater.
The Newport House gets varied reviews from locals on the food, some swear by it, others say it’s just OK, but everyone seems to like the setting on the water.
Annata Wine Bar and Restaurant in Hammonton is excellent.
Hope the above is of some help to you.

Pancakes-Best in NJ?
The best place that we have found is The Original Pancake House. Their pancakes are just delicious. We go to the one at 817 Bloomfield Ave. in West Caldwell. We have been going there for a number of years. The weekends are very busy, but, they have a large, comfortable waiting area. My DH loves their Apple Pancake. It's an experience. They also have I think two new locations one in Fort Lee and another in Whippany.
You can see a pic of the apple pancake on their website.

The Porter House, Montvale
Thanks for asking, but, due to schedules we probably won't be getting together for another month or so. I will post after we have dinner there.
The Porter House, Montvale
Thanks for the replies. I will look into the two that you recommended, but, it doesn't have to be a steakhouse by any means just a good restaurant. in that area.
The Porter House, Montvale
Has anyone been to this restaurant? We want to meet some friends that live in New City and thought that Montvale area would be a good area to meet distance wise. How is their food? Thanks for any info.

Allwood Bakery in Clifton - New ownership?
Well, I found out that The Allwood Bakery has been brought out by Brother's Bakery out of Kearny. I haven't been to Brother's in years, but, they were an excellent bakery back then. The next time I am in the area I will check out the new Allwood bakery to see if they are still going to carry the Allwood old reliables like the pecan and fruit babka, the nut cake that they cut to the size you want, the brown derby, great cheesecake, etc.

Indian for the timid - Essex/Passaic/Morris
I would definitely recommend Chand Palace. We go on Tuesday night for their wonderful buffet which would be a perfect way to introduce someone to Indian food. They have a very large, usually 12 to 14 items of delicious assorted foods. There is always something for everyone. Some a little spicy and some not at all. They even have dessert on the buffet.

Cheap lunch: Indian in North Jersey
Three of us went for lunch at Kamal Palace on Ridge Road in North Arlington. The food was really good. We were all very pleased with the selections. I'll be in the area again next week or so and intend to stop in for dinner.
