Seeking perfect burger joint combo in Seattle

I really like the burgers at Collin's Pub, down in Pioneer Square. They're a little on the salty side, but other than that... very delicious.

Piano bar in Seattle?

When I was 23, I spent a lot of time at Chop Stix drinking and sing Billy Joel. If that's what you're looking for... it will certainly deliver.

Greek Grocery in Seattle?

I was just doing some basic searches on the internet, but couldn't find any grocery stores that sell Greek food. Do you guys know of any?

Ramen in Seattle?

Right next to Ichiban is Tsukushinbo. They only have ramen on friday. It's great... but get there at 11:45, because it goes fast.

Most Overrated Restaurant in Seattle

I've only eaten at each of these places once, but the cost was high enough and I was unimpressed enough to not be tempted go go back:
Union -- Great appetizers, but the main course left me wanting.
Steelhead Diner -- I can't even remember what I had, if thats any indication.

Seattle gourmet groceries for camping

The Queen Anne Farmers Market is happening that night. I've never been, so I don't know which vendors will be there, but Seattle typically has pretty great farmers markets.

Relatively new must-try SEA

Zayda Buddies is a great bar/pizza place. Great service and good food. If you want to hang out with your friends for a couple of hours and get some pizza... this is the place.

Road food - Seattle to Yellowstone

There are some really good places in Spokane. If you're going through Spokane for lunch, I'd definitely have to recommend Fast Eddies or Domini's.

I've never been to Sante, but a friend from my childhood is running it, and it looks pretty delicious... so I'd be remiss if I didn't recommend it.

A kind of good "all around" TGI-Fridays-esque restaurant that kids like and has decent food... Hit up The Onion.

And as you get to Montana, you should probably stop at 10,000 Silver Dollars. It's a very kitschy but really fun place. The kids will love it.

Best Bang for Your Buck in Seattle?

Seattle Magazine did a feature on "Cheap Eats" a couple of months ago. I just cruised around their website for a little bit, and couldn't find a link anywhere. But you might be able to find a copy somewhere... *shrug*

My friends and I wrote an article about cheap eats in the International District (Chinatown).

Quintessential Seattle experience

For the international district, I would definitely steer you away from Fort St. George. Not because the food isn't delicious or unique, I just don't think representative of the Japanese food available in Seattle. I would definitely have to push you towards Maneki.

Seattle - CSA's and Wine clubs

CSAs are awesome, but I don't use one because I enjoy going to the Ballard Farmer Market so much (U-District is excellent too).
If you're new-ish to the area, I'd definitely look into your neighborhood's farmer's market.

If you just want to see the Dim Sum joints that MSG150 has reviewed, here is the link:

We don't really have a good way to navigate the blog posts by category... maybe someday we'll get around to that.

Rec for an office lunch in Seattle (pioneer square)

I've got to order lunch for our office tomorrow. There will be about 25 people eating.

I'm looking for new ideas. We've already had:
Salumi, Tat's, Mae Phim, Jimmy John's, Quiznos, Longhorn BBQ, Indian and Med.

The place doesn't have to be in Pioneer Square (or nearby) if they deliver. Any good recs?

Outdoor Birthday Dinner Rec in Seattle

My girlfriend's birthday is coming up, and we (her friends and I) want to have a group dinner somewhere. Here is what we're working with:
* 10 - 20 people
* Want to be outdoors
* Less than $20 per person (not including drinks)
* In Seattle (or pretty damned close)

What do you guys think would be good?

Good Bar Food in Seattle

I've been really enjoying the Minnesotan bar in Ballard: Zayda Buddies.

Their "Ballard Bridge" pizza is delicious. They use mozzarella from Wisconsin, and scarily enough, you can definitely taste a difference. I've been starting my meals with some Fried Cheese Curds... not exactly healthy but definitely worth it.
