I normally purchase the frozen Alaskan King Crab Legs to make my yearly Crab Bisque for New Years Eve.
A few of the supermarkets are now selling only the Legs that are a product of Russia.
Has anyone tried them and what is the quality of them compared to the Alaskan Legs?

Our fav dim sum the past few months is Red Star in Richmond. Their service is excellent and the food is consistently good. If you go, do try number 30 on the dim sum menu...Fish Paste with Bean Curd in Rice Roll..tis a special treat!

I thoroughly agree with you yaneidi regarding Karen Barnaby's "Pacific Passions Cookbook" and also her "Screemingly Good Food" that I use regularly. Her recipe for "Chicken Steamed with Ginger and Sherry" is super! I have made this healthy and tasty chicken recipe at least two
a dozen times....there is nothing more satisfying than "steamed chicken and rice".

Does anyone know where I can purchase Passion Fruit Puree in the downtown Vancouver or

Has anyone tried the new pans called "Scan Pan" that is made from ceramic titanium that is
nonstick with a 10 year warranty. They are manufactured in Denmark and are carried by
Sears...a little pricey but evidently they are a super product.

Yes the fish market is still open in Kawaihae. It is painted a bright yellow. We bought fish during a holiday in June of this year and the special older lady is there with help from her granddaughter. The fish is still reasonable in price and sooooo fresh!
