Nagu Jolokia hot pepper- can I buy it inToronto I bought Bhut Jolokia's seeds, plants and frozen peppers from Ravi (Toronto Craigslist) and the peppers were and continue to be amazing!! I have two plants that are continuously yielding peppers (right now I have about 6-10 peppers on each) no special lighting just next to a sunny window!! My peppers are super hot and super tasty. |

Proud to present my Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Pepper) crop Thank you all for your comments, I'm just soooo proud of my peppers that I can't even think of cutting them until I really have to. I actually cut a couple of them and I grilled them ( way hotter than anything I've tried) and I liked the flavour so much that once I cut them I will grill them and freeze them just like I do to my habaneros (got too many to eat them all) I actually took my plants last weekend (really warm temperatures in Toronto ) and it helped them now I can see the little peppers coming out. I love this plant it produces a lot of them and very easy to care! Now let's enjoy them! |

I'm happy to report that yesterday I bought 5 huge bunches from a street vendor right at the corner of Dundas and Spadina and I got two extra ones for free $1.00 a bunch. I'm soo happy, I'll be making a mexican stew yummmyyyy!!! |

That is not outrageous at all ( I raided a forgotten planter in the Vaughan area three years ago ) and the purslane was yummy (crazy but worth it ) I'll keep you post it if I find it! |

How can I keep the pasta from drying out? A cook from a very busy resto (still in business) told me that they kept the "al dente" pasta in containers and added olive oil to keep it moist |

It's almost the end of Summer 2011 in Toronto, can anyone tell me where can I buy edible Purslane in TO? |

I saw my first Bhut Jolokia pepper is tiny but is finally coming out!!! Congrats pine time on your habanero harvest. I still have a pepper plant without any flowers and just huge green leaves that look like nothing I've ever grown! |

Best Portuguese Bakery in Toronto? Doce minho's bread is great but the cashier's sour attitude makes me go elsewhere for my portuguese breads and desserts! |
|
|
Baton Rouge is pretty good too I had lunch today ( Ribs + Walnut Brownie with Vanilla Ice ) yummy and only steps away from Massey Hall. |

I guess this would make the drive to Mississauga worth it for me. BTW is the Oaxaca cheese any good? Thanks! |

Salsa's: new Mexican Restaurant in Kensington I live one block away from Rebozos and I love it but when I crave Tacos al pastor I go to el Trompo. Rebozos has really nice and authentic tacos and I love the Rosca de Reyes. |
|
|
Where is the best Mexican in Toronto? For AUTHENTIC Mexican food "Rebozos" on Rogers Rd. Not fancy but clean and really, really great food and nice owners. |

Salsa's: new Mexican Restaurant in Kensington I'm Mexican and I've eaten in a lot of the "Mexican" restaurants and I don't get it after reading all your favorable comments about this Salsas I rushed with my teenager to enjoy some great tacos and let me tell you WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! The double dry tortilla was horrible and crumbly ( straight from the freezer ) the "Pastor" had no taste and the tinga was somehow edible. I could not eat them and left the stablishment to eat the BETTER Al Pastor Tacos "El Trompo" |
