Platte Valley Corn Whiskey.

It comes in a jug! Have you tried it? The cost at my local alcohols store was sixteen dollars or so for a fifth. Extremely inexpensive. It is sweet, 80 proof and 100% corn. Kinda rough, but I took much delight in it.

Absinthe cocktails?

Maybe this isn't all too pertinent, but the original Waldorf cocktail was made up of equal parts Sweet Vermouth, Bourbon and Absinthe with a couple of dashes of Angostura.
The proper garnish escapes me, but it is a worthy cocktail!

Cocktails with egg in them....

I want to hear about cocktails with egg in them.
If you have a recipe for a cocktail like this, please post it.
A particular favorite of mine, for example, is the Los Angeles Cocktail:

1 1/2 ounces bourbon
1/4 ounce sweet vermouth
1 ounce simple syrup
1 ounce whole egg
1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
shaken extra well (to emulsify the egg) with ice, and served garnished with freshly grated nutmeg.

Any, I mean any good restaurants in Burbank?

Thats horrible. I moved out of the area about a year ago, and I haven't seen it lately, but I hope it's still around. Harry's is the greatest.

Any, I mean any good restaurants in Burbank?

YES! There is a delightful diner in Burbank. Harry's Family Restaurant. Its just down the street from Ikea, and you will see the large sign jutting majestically into the sky.
The famed hash browns of Harry's are the greatest of their kind.

Bulleit? Bulleit. How do you say that?

Oh yes, this is a very tasty bourbon. Thanks to you chowers, I was able to procure a bottle with the correct annunciation for around $25.00 And the lemon sounds nice. I'll try it with my next serving of Boolay.

Bulleit? Bulleit. How do you say that?

Oh thanks. Now I can request that whiskey with confidence at my local tavern or mini-mart.

Bulleit? Bulleit. How do you say that?

So I want to try this whiskey Bulleit. I have read on these boards, many positive accounts of it.... But, I'm not sure how it is pronounced. I wouldn't want to look like a fool, going around calling it the wrong thing. So how do you say that?

What made you smile last night?

Well, I was at the deli down the street, and I said among friends...
"I think I'll drink some beer."
Promptly, a pal of my brother's said, "Thats a great idea! I'll buy you one!"
And so I drank a free pint of Rogue Dead Guy Ale.
A very tasty ale.

Best Frozen Pizza

I am sorry, but that is disputable. A frozen pizza can contain and exude as much glory as you are willing to give it. Frozen pizzas are a beautiful thing, and they are a sacred thing. And Red Baron is undoubtedly the most beautiful and sacred of all. With it's glistening cheese, and smug Baron mascot...
Truly, it is holy.

Spanky Noodle Dandy

Truly. Sriracha is from heaven, and it is made of heaven, and it has a rooster on the bottle. What more can one ask of a hot sauce?

The Ultimate PB&J: What's your preference?

Most definitely a valid question.
My favorite nut-butter/jam sandwich
would be boysenberry jam with cashew butter
on sourdough.

WinCo Pizzeria Leonardi's New Things, Huh?

So I am a frequent customer of WinCo Foods grocery stores, and a sometime customer of the Leonardi's pizza counters within. I have noticed, upon a recent journey to WinCo, that there is a new pizza product sold at the counter, called a pizza teaser or something....
Have you tried it? What is it? Do you like Leonardi's too?

Trader Joe's - "prepared" foods

O yeah! That Vegan Pad Thai is the awesomest! I used to buy stacks of them and eat nothing else....
Its a terrible waste to live near a Trader Joes and not to buy That delicious frozen noodle delight. A terrible shame.

Spanky Noodle Dandy

I just made an account on Chow.com because a friend told me about this posting, and I said "No Way! I always make my Ramen like that! I put the peanut butter, the Sriracha, I don't use the packet seasoning!" I must say, however, that I use Tofu rather than an egg. Sometimes Tofu Burger, sometimes baked tofu, always whatever tofu is on hand. This corn sounds a little strange, but then so does the tried and true peanutbutter-sriracha ramen recipe. I Also must add, I always sprinkle Nutritional Yeast over the bowl of ramen before consuming. Its so savory.....
