Im surprised when I hear about the service issues and shocked by the Richman thing.
I had excellent service while we were there, and they had run out of a few of the things that my sister had wanted to order, so they wordlessly comped our drinks and brought us 2 free slices of cake to go.

I feel like my concern really wouldnt be whether or not anyone would patronize a restaurant that did not have a liquor license, but more the issue of whether its possible for a restaurant to survive economically without the revenue from the liquor 'markups'.
Who at the restaurant is at fault?

I had the prixe lunch at Noodle Bar a few weeks ago, and while I prefer Saam bar, and I was very very impressed.

The reservation rules at Momofuku Ko?
I had a different issue (food allergy that I didnt mention when I made the rezz) the last time I had dinner there, and I called, email, and 'messaged' them through their website and got nothing.
When I got to my reservation, I confirmed the food allergy, they looked like they had no idea what I was talking about, so I dont think they check their messages, voicemail or email at all.

Ive had a verison of this in Vancouver where it was a braised duck stuffed with sticky rice, more zongzi-ish.
