Dinner in LA area

Hi, thanks for the replies. Chef owned is not a require but more general vibe kind of thing.

Dinner in LA area

Hi,

My wife and I will be in LA this next week for a wine event for our small Oregon winery. We are looking to have a nice dinner while we are in town. I am looking for some high end and something special to the LA food scene. The spot I have seen on the board, Rivera, Water Grill and Drago Centro all look good but a bit corporate. Any suggestion on something small chief owned and completely unique?

We like all kinds of food so we are wide open to suggestions. We will be staying in Costa Mesa and also we have an pouring event in Beverly Hills so any thoughts of food stops in those area would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Wine Guy AWC

Help on Dinner in the Queen Ann area of Seattle

I made a post eariler on what to get out our upcoming trip to Seattle. Thanks!

I now have to add a slight update. We are meeting some friends for dinner before the Springsteen show and we need a mid scale place for 7 not too far from the Key arena.

Any ideas,

Thanks again!

Lunch next Friday in Portland?

If you are will to head out of downtown here are some other ideas,

BBQ at Podnahs, this is run by the guy who gave Ken the idea of pastrami. Really great pull pork.

Pok Pok - Very good Thai

Fire on the Mountain - Great chicken wings with a nice beer selection. The East Burnside location has more room than the Interstate.

The Green Dragon - Great beer selection very good Belgium inspired food.

Pause - Great upscale pub fair at fair prices, maybe the best burger in town.

Looking for Ideas for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner in Seattle this weekend?

Hi we will be in Seattle this weekend for the Springsteen show. We are heading up for Portland on Saturday and would like some ideas on places to eat in Seattle over the weekend.

We are looking for fun and interesting lunch and breakfast spots for Saturday and Sunday morning. Somewhere fairly high end for dinner on Saturday not too far from the Key Arena if possible. One of Tom Douglas' places are of intrest but I always listen to the advice of the chowhounds.

Thanks!
