I would say approx $25 for adults, maybe half that for kids under 12.
I noticed some places don't list 'kids' prices for buffets. I have 2 girls, ages 7 and 9, who eat like birds....definitely will not eat $25 worth of food!

Are there any updates to the latest buffets in Las Vegas that feature all you can eat crab legs?

I'm in search of the best chocolate croissants in the San Gabriel Valley. The best I've had were from Westminster, CA at authentic Vietnamese bakeries. But being that I'm from the SGV, I need to find one nearby.

BTW, had some awesome ones from Trader Joe's....the come frozen and you proof them overnight and bake them the next morning. They are so small out of the freezer but literally 'puff up' to twice their size when proofed.

Hey, thanks a bunch for the replies.....Costco only sells "Minh" brand eggrolls....very americanized. Rivera Food Service only sells vegetable egg rolls. (This is a very cool place by the way....sort of a Chinese Costco) Will check out LAX-C. Read some reviews of this place on YELP...quite amusing! Most say it's slightly geared toward Thai food...but I guess Thai egg rolls are pretty good too. Might go there tomorrow.

Anyone know where to buy frozen egg rolls, preferably with meat? Used to buy them at 168 Market in San Gabriel by the case.

Drove past the old Tony Roma's building on Huntington Drive near Fifth and saw the new signs on the building "Capital Seafood". I think this is the same 'chain' as the establishments in Monterey Park and Rowland Heights. Anyone know the scoop on this place? Never been to any of the other locations.

This is Capital Seafood, NOT New Capital...which I have been to.

I've eaten at the Bamboo House. The place is often very crowded. Apparently, they moved here from Temple City. Food was OK.....I think you have to order the right thing....our table of food looked nothing like those adjacent to ours. Any suggestions?

Having a kids BD party in a couple weeks and I need recommendations for a good tasting, good quality, etc. resource for ordering a couple trays of Chow Mein / Chowfun and maybe egg rolls for a party of 15-20 people on short notice. (A reasonable price would help too!!) Looking for a good balance of noodles/veggies/meat and/or seafood.

Prefer San Gabriel Valley location, closer to Monrovia/Arcadia areas. (I know, most of the better places are out towards Monterey Park but I'm located east of there)

Hey, thanks for the replies! I called Full House and Teri & Yaki. T&Y will only do noodles and you have to buy the toppings on the side and mix yourself. And Panda, although quite tasty, will not fare well among the primarily "Asian" attendees. Full House is the most promising at the moment and the most convenient. But I am still open to any other suggestions....even in the Monterey Park areas. Have not tried Noodle World yet. Please post more suggestions! Thanks.

Years ago, I would do the So Cal - No Cal drive and frequently stop off in Solvang to get those delicious butter cookies. I recently visited there after many years and now see those cookies available at almost every bakery there.

All those cookies look suspiciously similar and am wondering if they are coming from a central bakery and repackaged in those infamous plastic bucket/tubs of buttery heaven. But are all those created equal or are they actually baked fresh at each and every bakery?

Who has the best ones? Anyone out there with advice please chime in!!

Just wondering about the fried fish at 99 Ranch and other Asian markets. You choose a fresh / live fish and tell the butcher to deep fry it. I've seen/smelled the end result in the store and can say it's quite tempting to try out. Has anyone tried this? If so, what fish is the best to fry? And how is this served at home at the dinner table? Special sauces, etc.?

I just bought one of those clay pots that's glazed on the inside only with the wire 'cage' on the outside. I made a rice dish with chicken, black mushrooms, dark soy and ginger. Tasted great but the crunchy 'crust' on the bottom like I get at the restaurants was missing. This is the best part!! Can anyone tell me what I did wrong?
The recipe I followed was to first boil the rice on the stove, then follow up with a sequence of temperatures in the oven. Any helpful hints or favorite recipes will be greatly appreciated!!

I just had the best tri-tip ever. A buddy of mine bought a marinated 'blackened' tri-tip and grilled it on the BBQ. It was so tasty. He is in the San Jose, CA area and bought the beef at a local deli. I'm in the San Gabriel Valley in Southern CA. Anyone out there know of any place to buy the best tasting marinated tri-tip for home grilling?

Or, anyone recommend any recipes for a DIY marinade?
