Solo Mission
I will be in NYC from December 16-21 for a mix of business and pleasure. Interested in lively restaurants where I can eat at the bar and still get a good representation of the menu. Price not really an issue... interested in all kinds of food. Happy to here your thoughts. Will likely stay in SoHo but location not necessarily an issue.
Thanks

Visiting from Toronto
I'll be visiting San Francisco in the fall for the first time. I would very much appreciate recommendations across the spectrum of options from high-end restos, to hot new restos, to old favorites. I would particularly appreciate recommendations for the following:
sushi
seafood
a good local sandwich
any local specialty
Looking forward to it...
Wakiya @ The Gramercy Park Hotel
I stayed at the GPH over Christmas. Among the meals we enjoyed in NYC were Babbo, EMP and Per Se. We had one night without a reservation and ended up staying at the hotel and going to Wakiya. I thought the Fiery Lobster Hunt was a great dish and their version of Peking Duck was also above average. What is the opinion of this restaurant among local New Yorkers. I'm planning another trip soon and wondering whether I should plan to dine their again or if there are other restaurants along the same vein that are considered superior. Thanks.

Yonge and College/Carlton
Hello All,
This is my first post but I have been reading the forum for quite a while. Next week I am moving to a new area of the city. Although it wasn't an obvious choice, the central location and view from my new place were too much to overlook. I realize I'm a 10-15 minute subway/cab ride from anywhere in the city but I was hoping people could provide suggestions that were in the neighbourhood (5-10 minute walk). I would appreciate any good suggestions on places to eat or buy groceries/baked goods/meats/cheeses etc. I would specifically appreciate suggestions for Sunday brunch and good coffee. Thanks.
