Update on Greensboro restaurants requested

The information on good, local Greensboro restaurants is pretty old and it seems as though a lot of them have closed.

I am an Elon parent and I like to take my daughter and her friends out to a good meal when we're in town. Greensboro seems the closest place to do that.

I'm looking for well prepared, preferably local food- not more than about $30/person.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Saxapahaw General Store (between Triangle and Triad NC)

This place sounds fantastic! My daughter goes to Elon and we're always looking for good places to eat, not too far from Burlington. But I have a few questions: the reviews here are fairly old. Is it still as good as it was? And how many tables do they have? It sounded very small and like you'd have to wait a long time to be seated.
Any updates would be appreciated. Thanks!

Pad Thai near Burlington/Greensboro

My daughter is a freshman at Elon. We're going to visit her in October. Pad Thai is her favorite food. Is there good Pad Thai within 30-40 minutes of Elon?

Thanks for your help!

separate boards for Baltimore and Washington?

My reason for wanting to separate the two cities is that if I'm doing a search, I have to add the word Baltimore and then I get everything with the word Baltimore. It would make life so much easier for us Baltimore people since there are so many more DC posts.

Chocolate cake in Jacksonville

I'm coming to town on Saturday to visit my elderly uncle. He loves cake and I wanted to bring him a really good one. I read posts about French Pantry and was very excited, but called and learned that they aren't open on Saturday. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Very cheap eats in Fells Pt/Inner Harbor/Federal Hill area

Well, as happens with teens, the plan changed. However we did check out a few places. One-Eyed Mike seemed too bar-like, BOP had the right kind of food, but it seemed too small for the big group. The one we liked best was Red Star. Their upstairs would have been perfect except that they had two parties booked there. We were focusing on Fells Point and we were about to check out El Trovador when the plans changed. Thanks for all your help!

Very cheap eats in Fells Pt/Inner Harbor/Federal Hill area

My high school-age daughter is planning a party for a friend, and the guests can't afford more than $20/person. Any chance anyone knows of a suitable restaurant that could accomodate a dozen or so (well-behaved) high school kids?

Thanks for your help!
