Michigan shrimp

The Shrimp Farm Market had a booth at the Meridian Township Farmers' Market today. If I'd have been thinking, I'd have looked for some prices. The shrimp looked divine though - plump, healthy, and beautifully colored.

I'm heading up 31 towards Charlevoix - any good spots along the way?

Not to be one of "those" people, but I'm trying to figure out your route - 31 runs along Lake Michigan into Traverse City then continues north and 131 runs through Cadillac. Are you making a detour to the west? Knowing your route will help me to make a couple of suggestions.

Bradley Ogden closing?

I believe Central went into the space formerly occupied by whatever the coffee shop/24-hour eatery was called.

Lunch & Late in Downtown Detroit

Hudson Cafe was solid. Fantastic service, great food, reasonable portions at reasonable prices. Our party of 6 had no complaints about what we ordered.

Hudson Café, Detroit—anyone tried?

A group of six of us ate there the morning of St. Patrick's Day. We ordered a variety of items - the corned beef & cabbage special, some sort of berried french toast, a burger, corned beef hash, an omelet and the asparagus eggs benedict. Most of us had the breakfast potatoes as a side and they were great. Solid meals with no complaints, aside from no sourdough toast and a paltry variety of gluten-free items. Reasonable sized portions for reasonable prices. The service was fantastic! I'd recommend giving it a try.

Is there anywhere I can get sarsaprilla or birch beer in the Milwaukee area?

Do you have a Cost Plus World Market near you? They generally carry both items.

Nathan's Dogs in Ann Arbor?

Koegel's is a Michigan brand and very high quality. The viennas have natural casings. I find them to be better than Nathan's. If you're set on Nathan's, though, try Sam's Club.
