Peas Pack Your Knives and Go

Awww! Antonia was so solid, too! It also sucks b/c she was my favorite face-wise =)

Too bad she fell short.

For the record, I'd never enjoy 'al dente beans'.

Cucumber-Orange Water

They served something like this at the gym at Treasure Island in Vegas.

So clean and refreshing!

Botched Lunch

I, for one, completely loathe this guy. The only other contestant I hate worse is Spike.

That being said... I think it would be good to pack sushi rolls for a lunch, as long as there are more healthy snacks to have after a couple of hours. It will be better to have less filling items over a period of time.

A hearty meal in one sitting would more than likely lead to an officer becoming drowsy. So either he ends up being less alert or just as bad - stopping by Dunkin Donuts for a coffee. Not good from a long term metabolism POV.

Done Eating, Not Dining

I'll start by saying I don't have the pleasure at eating at fine dining establishments more than 4 times a year.

That being said...

I'd rather be overserved than underserved. You're not going to win all the time, and if the waiter is trying to assist when not needed, I find no reason to give him/her hell.

I'd find it very annoying if I have a plate of residual sauce or meat drippings sitting in front of me for 10-15 minutes while I'm trying to converse with my company.

Meatball Sub

This is such a shame. Such a simple recipe with a lot of room for error, but Kate seems to have missed the mark here.

I personally like my meatball parm sandwich simple:
slice the roll most of the way (none of that notch stuff is necessary)
if anything, take out a little of the inside of the hoagie
a small layer of sauce (surprised nobody complained about using the word gravy)
then place the meatballs that have been soaking in sauce
top with mozzarella - the wonderful shredded, processed kind

just make sure the sauce is flavorful and the meatballs are moist
