Best Thai food in LA?

I have suggested Lum Ka Naad restaurant in Northridge on Reseda Boulevard on several occasions. The food is excellent, the variety of dishes impressive. Admit it, you've always wanted to try Chicken Feet Salad, did you not? Don't worry, in addition to choices for the more advanced palate, you will always find the familiar dishes that you came to love: Pad Thai, Curries, Tom Yum soup etc. etc. The presentation is authentic, the flavours amazing and sophisticated, never boring. I have never been disappointed there and I bet you won't be either.

is barbeque in the Valley a contradiction in terms?

Couldn't agree more with most of the comments on Dr. Hogly-Wogly's and the other observations. To sum it all up: Looking for good valley BBQ is mostly an experience in culinary sadness.

Secret and/or Best Thai Restaurants

Pleeaaaase check out Lum Ka Naad restaurant in Northridge on Reseda Boulevard. I have been there countless times now, and the food is always excellent, the variety of dishes impressive. Admit it, you've always wanted to try Chicken Feet Salad, did you not? Don't worry, in addition to certain choices for the more advanced palate, you will always find the familiar dishes that you came to love: Pad Thai, Curries, Tom Yum soup etc. etc. The presentation is authentic, the flavours amazing and sophisticated, never boring. I have never been disappointed there and I bet you won't be either. Especially noteworthy is the fact that although they have been covered in many newspaper and magazine articles (Daily News, LA Times, LA Weekly etc. etc.) now, they still have not lost the touch and the food is as complex and good as ever. It's one of the very few cases where extended media coverage has not ruined the owner's egos.
