Suggestions for Vindaloo Paste?

Ok thanks, do you add onions, tomatoes, any other ingredients to make it a full meal or do you just put the paste with the meat? How do you incorporate the paste with the pork or maybe someone could suggest a website that offers some suggestions, I have had no luck finding recipes with vindaloo paste. thanks

Tomato Broth

I am looking for a recipe for making a tomato broth, vs. a tomato sauce. I usually have had this type of broth in a seafood dish that would be in a bowl, with clams, fish, crabmeat, mussels shrimp and a delicate and somewhat sweet tomato broth. the broth would be the consistency of chicken or beef stock, but would have a light tomato flavor and have an understated sweetness to it,

thanks

pork shoulder in crock pot

2. Cut 1-inch wide slits all over the surface including top and bottom of meat. Rub the garlic-seed mixture into the slits.

How do u do this? the wide part is confusing me and how deep are the slits?. Also, how many is "all over"

thanks

Cooking wines ect

Hi,

can someone give me the lowdown on cooking wines, cooking sherry's, white wines ect.

Are these purchased in liquor stores?

Is there a difference be cooking wines and regular wines?

Once you open a bottle of wine for cooking, say white wine, will that wine stay fresh for further use in the refrigerator?

I am kinda focused on white wines and sherries as these seem to be common ingredients in a lot of dishes.

Can someone suggest actual brands to use for white wine, sherry and wines?

do u have to use expensive wines or will cheap do the trick.

thanks

Stir Fry with Chicken & Veggies: Need Sauce

thanks for all the ideas,

Can I get an idea how everyone actually cooks the stir fry? My method is too put the oil and soy sauce into the wok, heat the oil, add the chicken, cook, take out the chicken, add more soy and oil and then cook the veggies and at the end add the chicken back.

any suggestions or am I doing this correct?

thanks

BBQ Beans: Andy Nelson BBQ

First off, these are by far the tastiest BBQ Beans I have ever had. They are delicious.

I am trying to duplicate these beans at home with limited success. Does anyone have any idea what the recipe for the Andy Nelson BBQ beans would be? Anyone want to take a shot at the ingredients that are in there beans? Anyone have a clue on how these beans are made to taste so good?

New Canton Restaurant - Sauté?

The owners spent a lot of money on this place. They put in a first class kitchen and that is what befuddles me. Why spend all the money on a decent kitchen if your gonna pump out average food? The GM of Saute checked in on a previous post. It would be nice to hear from him again on this thread.
