Vegan Options in Columbia Heights Area?
Busboys & Poets has tons of vegan options, including vegan pizza, quesadillas, tempeh sandwiches and gazpacho. It's not too expensive and has a great neighborhood vibe. It's at 14th and V, just down the street from Columbia Heights -- a few Metrobus stops or one Metro stop away on the Green line.

Near the convention center
I will be in LA next week and am looking for a restaurant downtown (within a couple or three miles of the Convention Center and the J.W. Marriott) where I can have a dinner meeting. Need to spread out with a laptop and papers with a couple folks. A quiet restaurant with booths would be perfect. Good, interesting but not fussy food a major plus. Suggestions? Thanks!
DaMoim Korean Fusion (Yes! Tacos!) (And wine bar.)
Thanks! I'll have to check it out.

The menu doesn't list prices. What's the range?
Two Amys: not a great first experience
I've never been a huge fan of the pizzas, but the small plates are often spectacular. I've had lentils with speck; fried sardines with fried onion rings and fried lemon slices; eggplant parmesan ... these and more have all been really outstanding. Plus, they have awesome house-made ice creams.
Maryland crab trucks
Are there any reliable crab trucks within about an hour or so from DC? I'm looking for places like Seafood in the Buff in Germantown, with a truck regularly parked in one place. There are old threads on this, but I didn't see anything more recent than 2006. Thanks!!
Visiting DC this weekend...what are some "must-try" restaurants/food stands/bars?
Cork on 14th St. NW and Dr. Granville Moore's on H St. NE. Best atmospheres in the city, both with delicious and interesting food plus great wines (at Cork) and Belgian beers (Dr. GM's).
Swing's Coffee
I buy the Diplomat blend at the P St. Whole Foods, and I'm a total addict. Never had it from the downtown shop, but I've been meaning to have a looksee for a while now.
MSP Power spots
It's not exactly my cup of tea, but I'm trying to help a friend find four or five wine 'em and dine 'em spots in downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. They have to have rockin' food, of course, but it's also about the scene -- as in, where to impress clients. Where do the MSP power players go? The local politicians? Any quintessential spots that are less trendy, more traditional?
Also, any recs for the power breakfast?
Thanks!
Denver power spots
It's not exactly my cup of tea, but I'm trying to help a friend find four or five wine 'em and dine 'em spots in downtown Denver. Any quintessential Denver spots that are less trendy, more traditional? Does Restaurant Kevin Taylor fit the bill?
Also, I've seen tons of recs for breakfasts on this board, but they seem mostly casual (and totally delicious, to boot). Any recs for the power breakfast?
Thanks!
