bad news - Kitada's has closed - sorry

Sarento's is my favorite restaurant in Kihei. The snack bar at the Flea market has the best chow fun on the island but Da Kitchen is close by. I have never been there for breakfast but lunch has great local food and huge portions. I would hit Mama's. It's worth it. Hailiimaile General Store and Gazebo are winners too. If you do go to Paia, try Mambo Cafe for the duck sandwich or salad or Flatbread Company for wood fired oven pizza with organic ingredients.

we are coming the last two weeks of May - thanks for the suggestions - we definitely want to stay away from the tourist traps

Aloha - we will be visiting from Maui and would like to sample the crabs, crab cakes, and crab bisque of the area - we will be going to Fells Point, Inner Harbor, Annapolis, Ellicott City, and the Smithsonian - what are the best places for crab there - mahalo
