Maya Beach Bistro - upscale food in Placencia, Belize

My husband and I just got back from Belize and wanted to share a tip about a great restaurant just outside of Placencia called the Maya Beach Bistro. The owners are expats and have created a very upscale restaurant within steps from the beach. They love what they do and are passionate about creating upscale caribbean dishes. The jerk fish empanadas, ceviche and fish tacos were really good. Also, the shrimp pizza with Goat Cheese and tomato chutney was amazing. They also have a very good wine list for the area.

Most of the food in Belize was fairly standard stuff so wanted to pass along a little gem for people who are traveling to Belize and looking for good food.

New Years in Amsterdam?

I'm headed to Amsterdam for NYE and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of restaurants or bars that will have cool menus or activities. I've heard that there will be a huge fireworks show so maybe a place that has a good view?

Looking for local restaurants in Eleuthera

At the Cove in Gregory Town. Looks like there are some good spots on the list. Island Grog at the Seaside bar at the Rainbow sound pretty good right now. Any suggestions on the best place to eat with sand between your toes?

Looking for local restaurants in Eleuthera

My husband and I are heading to Eleuthera next week and are looking for good local restaurants. We don't want stuffy places where you dress up. More like low-key places where you can hang out in flip-flops, grab a beer and enjoy some great food. Any suggestions?
